I am doing a zillion things to get ready for GingeroftheNorth’s move to the states. One important piece just fell into place, I have found a house. It’s the downstairs of a house, but the upstairs looks like it should open up by May. If it dosen’t we’ll be OK, if cozy, if it does it’ll be perfect. Anyway, that means one thing.
I have to move.
Ugh.
Thing is, I have to move at the end of the month, and with all of my spare funds going for the wedding and the large expense of moving Gingy down here, I have no extra to hire movers, so I am turning again to my doper friends. Last time, 4 people responded with only a few days notice and got me moved. This time I have 2 weeks, so I am hopeful that a few more folks might be able to help. I’ll be moving from Aberdeen about 5 miles up the road to Havre de Grace on March 30. I’ll provide the truck, beverages and pizza for those who can help me out.
I’m currently out of work, so it shouldn’t be a problem for me to help out.
However, if by the grace of god I manage to find a job by then, I may have to cancel. Maybe you can e-mail me directions again (I kind of remember how to get there) and the specifics, and I’ll do my best to help you haul some furniture.
Sure, bring the Suburban, it’s always good to have several trucks. I’ll email directions and stuff the week before, so other people have a chance to chime in and help.
Unfortunately, since my spine is about as stable as cooked spaghetti I can’t tote and lift, but my good 'ol fashioned bigass station wagon is at your disposal and I’ll be happy to do whatever I can to help.
Alas, I am unable to secure the Beast for this weekend, but I do have a four-door car with an empty trunk. So I will be able to fit lots of stuff in it.
Capt. Zappo and the USS Custom Cruiser will be reporting in all their full-frame, rear drive, power-assisted, Vista-Roofed, leather-lined, third-seat folding, Rocket V-8 powered glory as previously indicated!
My knee has been playing “Happy Fun Random Pain Knee” recently so I may be useless for carrying things, but I’m bringing a big-ass van so that should make up for it.
Oh man I feel so bad about this but I can’t make it
I’ve been fighting off a flu thing all week, but I was gonna come anyway… but then with the dental stuff that is going on, I’m back on the Vicodin. I was hoping I wouldn’t need it but I do. I can’t drive on it.
There probably isn’t a way that someone else could drive my van, is there? Cuz if you can think of one you are still welcome to use it
