Ok, Intaglio and I have (finally) found a house! It’s a nice two-story colonial not very far from where we’ve been renting in nothern Delaware. Closing is during the first week in November, and we’re planning to start moving Saturday, the 8th of November. While we have the whole rest of the month to move, we’d like to get it over and done as soon as possible. Stuff will already be boxed up, save for some odds-n-ends that don’t need to be moved that day (kitchen stuff, mostly), so it’s mostly going to be “load the truck, & move out!”
Any MADs want to help haul stuff? Have a 'Dope Fest while we’re at it? Refreshments are (of course!) on us.
I used to have this old, overweight Driller that would come up while we were busting our ass on some rig chore and perkily quip “Is there anything I can say to help?”

Am I the only one who read the thread title and thought you were saying that your house itself was moving (as in shaking, or maybe sliding down a hill)? Probably.
Anyway, congratulations on the house! Good luck with the move – even though it sucks, there’s really nothing like carrying all your shit around to encourage you to get rid of stuff.
Even tho that’s a weekend I’ll be MAD, I’ll be doing some moving of my own. I’ll be dragging a trailerload and vanload of stuff to my mother’s that day, storing it all in her garage and attic. With all the stuff we have to rearrange and haul up among the rafters, it’s a good 2 days of work for us.
Tranq, I was just thinking your moving date had to be fast approaching, and that I ought to email you. Lemme check with the wife to see if I’m available.
Wow, Tranquilis, that’s way the hell down the other side of the state! I’d be more than willing to help, but I just don’t think I’ll be able to work out the logistics.
