MOOOOOOM that’s the exact peach cobbler I have made for years. Actually it works with all fruits. Well, fruits one would put in a cobbler. Yay for cleanded out cabinets!
Ace that’s a lot o’ smokin’ there. I have a smallish electric smoker but it will do a bunch o’ chikins, plus a poke or beast roast or two at a time.

Howdy from da cave! I did sneak off a few minutes after my last post just to come here and perform mowage. Mowage is now completed. Go Me! I’s tahrd though. OYKW is goin’ to stop at the place that makes good fish and pick us up a catfish filet plate. Catfish filets, slaw, fries, and hushpuppies. All bad for me but tastes sooooooooo good! Can’t wait!
Swampy, our smoker is a charcoal/wood type, and it’s huge! We love the thing.
I’m taking one of my frequent breaks. My daughter and I just finished raking the leaves from last fall in the dog yard, and picking up dog poo. It looks much better out there. It’s done, and we’re worn out. I even put the hickory wood in a big tote full of water, to soak. They’ll be ready when I need 'em, tomorrow.
I’ve still got to make the cobbler, but I’ll do that later on. I’m just too tired to mess with it right now.
We have milk. Shrimps are thawing. **FCD **is doing something in the basement that involves slamming doors. When he comes upstairs, I’ll start supper. One of his Harley buddies is coming over tomorrow. I hope he doesn’t bring his wife - I have chores to do and I don’t want to make chit-chat with someone I don’t know. Heck, I don’t want to make chit-chat with someone I do know - I want to do laundry and finish my kitchen and maybe get outside and rake for a bit.
I think I’ll be going to bed early tonight - I’s tahred!! Two days in a row of manual labor has kicked my butt!!
I got Inspired, and attempted the peach cobbler recipe- sort of. I have weighing scales, rather than cups, so I sort of guesstimated quantities, but it seemed to work OK, though I maybe didn’t leave it in quite long enough. Still nommy, just a bit too squishy.
It’s been the first night I’ve not been busy for the last week- though I did wind up giving the landlord a lift to band practice (with a bunch of gear), followed by a lift back a few hours later when said gear ceased to work mid practice… I’ve mostly just spent a nice night in with my seed stash and a beer.
Much unsuitable language over here. Wrong part. Again. Try #3 ordered, will probably not arrive until Tuesday or Wednesday. A temporary fix has been agreed on that should get OUR car back on Monday, with an agreement in place to get try #3 installed when it arrives.
Sorry, O Ursine One, but after the catfish experience I had at Golden Corral a few days ago, I plan to steer clear of it from here. I think garden dirt might well have been more palatable, compared to whatever dirt was in what I tried.
Must run errands in a little while, but I plan to go hermit once we get home, not venturing forth for more than checking snailmail, until Sunday morning.
I cleaned the entire apartment, it needed it after the “festivities” last week. And all my cabinets stay organized. Makes you look like a slacker, huh, Moooommmm!!!?

The excitatement never ends here at da cave! The third load of laundry is in the washer and the second is in the dryer! If’n it gets any more excitatin’ I may need to retire to the faintin’ couch!
Have 2 houses scheduled to look at and I’m hoping the third one comes through. I was hoping to look at a third one but I just saw it has a contract on it. DAMN!
Oh well, nothing to do about it now.

RT is almost home. The jury’s still out as to whether they will let him deliver his load tonight. If so, I’ll see him within the hour. If not, it will be tomorrow. Either way, it will be so good to have him home.
I couldn’t believe how warm it was when I let Higgs out - it’s 52°!! We’re promised a nice day, before the damned snow on Monday, and I think we’ll have it. I may even open some windows today!
**doggio **- I’m pretty sure even *you *couldn’t clean my house in a day, unless you clean like my spousal unit - shoving stuff in closets and spare rooms and shutting the door. That doesn’t count! But with luck, I’ll finish the kitchen today, including counters, appliances, the window, and the floor. We’ll see how that plays out.
