Yeah, heating a duplex may be cheaper - assuming the windows and attic/roof are properly insulated. It’s a matter of preferences - I’d take a duplex over a middle row house for sure and either over an apartment/condo in a common building. I hope you don’t think I’m trying to tell you which way to go, as if you’d do what I say anyway…
Corned beef and assorted veggies made for a yummerrific supper. I’s stuffded now - cake later.
Still no precip, and from the weather radar, it looks like things are breaking up. Then again, the snow wasn’t supposed to come till tonight, so we shall see.
I wonder if I can go to NYC in May. The last time I weanted to go there, though, my sister effectively scared me away by pointing out that the cheaper accommodations probably all have bedbugs. The friend I stayed with last time I was there has moved away. I dunno. maybe I should stop chasing pipe dreams.
My sinuses hate me (thus, deheathenating got skipped (sad face)), slept poorly, could NOT make a decent mold of a favorite barrette, and can’t play Criminal Case due to server/browser issues.
**Ace **- I’m going to put it on a t-shirt. The ones for sale on line are stupidly expensive. I’ve got iron-on transfers that work with my printer, so that’s what I’m going to use. I can even pick the color t-shirt that I want!
I have been a slug this weekend, resting. Hubby fixed our corned beef and veggies yesterday and I think it’s the best we ever had. I am taking the leftovers for lunch tomorrow.
Happy Birthday Ace.
Here’s hoping the weather warms up soonest for all youse. It’s been very windy here today with temps in the high 70’s.
I know more about this Malay plane than I should as that’s all I’ve been doing is watching tv coverage and reading multiple forums all weekend. Did not even nap. I am trying to get into a new pattern with the time change so I can go to sleep earlier and wake earlier. I have had the most trouble adjusting to this one than any other. :smack:
It is amazing to me how much difference one hour can make.
Lucky Louie got a bath today and my new car got one yesterday. I have an energetic hubby.
I had my 5K mile service last week and the oil in new Toyota’s is synthetic. I don’t need another oil change for 10k miles according to the service tech. I must go back in 5K for a tire rotation and multi point check. I used synthetic oil in my last car too but changed it every 5K miles. 10K seems too many.
Well that’s the news from Paradise. I wish I had a piece on Mmooomms cake.
They were hanging from the rafters, as usual. And we had a lot more ‘official’ guests than normal…the Governor of NSW, the President of the Legislative Council, various MPs, the Chief Justice, the Irish Consul etc.
We enjoyed ourselves tremendously singing *Faith of Our Fathers *and Hail Glorious Saint Patrick. And a Gaelic piece too, which I hadn’t seen before:
For some appropriate Civil War-era music, here’s “The Opinions of Paddy Magee” performed by David Kinkaid: Opinions of Paddy Magee.wmv - YouTube. We have the flag shown at the beginning, that of the 69th New York Volunteers / Irish Brigade, flying at home today. The motto at the bottom, in Gaelic, means, “They never shrank from the clash of spears.”
