Best episode of "Gilligan's Island"?

Not having watched it since I was a kid, I honestly can’t tell which episodes are real and which ones people are making up.

“If I’ve told you a thousand times, I’ve told you once. Scientist, yes. Mad, no.” Chortles insane laughter.

A classic line. I actually use it IRL from time to time. Also, the South American dictator episode. (Was that the same guest actor?) Seems like political commentary, but just played for laughs, really skewers over-important “special episodes.” From a time when TV humor really wasn’t so meta.

Is that the one where the Skipper got pissed at Gilligan and swatted him with his hat?

How about the one where they programmed a robot to walk to Hawaii, and then its speech is all messed up because Gilligan put a rabbit’s foot in it for good luck?

My favorite episode was the one where the band “The Mosquitoes” visited the island.

That’s crazy. It’s the Palm Dairy jingle, of course!

The Hamlet episode is definitely the most memorable one for me by far.

Carmlet is indeed memorable but I liked the one in which the telephone cable washed ashore.

The one where Mary Ann thinks she’s dying, and the one in which they recreate the death of some guy who was killed with a spear gun right before they left and the castaways think one of the passengers did it.

One of my favorites has always been the one with Wrong-Way Feldman.

Then you have to love the headhunters.

Obviously The Beatles.

Carmen is great, as are G-I-double L-I, the “Ahm jes a poor cokn’y flowa girl, dat’s wut I am!’, the American astronauts (Sol! they’re spelling my name!” - all great.

But my favorite is the Rashomon episode.

At least, that’s how I remember it.

Or the one with the castaways pretending to be headhunters. “Moo lah, moo lah, moo lah!”

With Richard Kiel guest starring; and he was not the only James Bond henchman to appear on the show.

Three words:

Mind. Reading. Seeds.

Oh, I looked it up. The actors name was Harold Sakata and he played Ramoo, the game hunters assistant.

Was their another?

I think it was just those two, Jaws and Oddjob. Always thought that was an interesting bit of trivia.

You, sir, are a hero. Thank you.

Another vote for the Hamlet episode. I did not know the music was from Carmenso it was a fun, if distracting, surprise when it was played during the swimming pool scene in Hail Ceasar. I had to hold myself back from singing "Hamlet, Hamlet do be a man, let rotten enough alone . . . "

Also Pulu Si Bugumba and the one with the Honey Bees ("you need us, you need us!)
One that I don’t think was mentioned is when lonely spinster Eva Grubb showed up and Ginger gave her a makeover and she out Gingered Ginger and left the island to go to Hollywood.

Yet another vote for Harold Hecuba.

Gillian’s Old West dream sequence was fun. The ghost was great.

And I love the one where the undersea telephone cable washes up on the lagoon shore.
