Why you no speak real Kupa-Kai?
Blatantly ripped off by F Troop. Probably the same guy (Arthur Julian) wrote both episodes.
Head hunters thought Gilligan was their god, because he looked like the head on the totem pole.
I’ve been dead so long I forgot?

[/QUOTE]Ha! Too funny (but GI was way better)
<Mrs Howell> You needa me. You *need *me. Like a diamond needs a rrrrrring . . . "
Yes! I was fascinated by the idea of a cable on the ocean floor connecting land masses.
Nothing scared me more than the giant spider one. <shivers>
That and the fact that it’s a [/URLhttp://www.snopes.com/food/ingredient/carrots.asp=]complete myth that carrots improve your eyesight.
One I haven’t seen mentioned yet is the episode where a dowdy woman comes to the island planning to live like a hermit, the girls give her a makeover and she turns out to be a twin double of Ginger! The ‘evil twin’ then sets out to take over Ginger’s life.
She’s played by Tina Louise, of course. Ironically enough, Louise later went on be in “the Stepford Wives” movie in which an evil doppelganger twin actually does ‘steal her life.’
The GI episode ends with the evil twin Ginger leaving all the castaways on the island and returning to Hollywood to take over the real Ginger’s life. As the episode ends, Ginger is listening to the radio announcer talk about how ‘Ginger Grant’ has been found alive and well and is going to star in a movie with Rock Hudson! And Ginger was crying. I always wondered what happened to the evil twin?

Then there was the episode where they were trying to stop a volcano from erupting by setting off a bomb inside. Many funny moments like “Skipper, nice of you to drop in”. Then the bomb getting hooked to Gilligans show and the frantically work to get it off. Then it goes off and everyones head pops out of the bushes. And the sight of the volcanos smoke going backwards.
That would be the Eva Grubb ep I mentioned in post 51. At least someone else remembers it fondly.
Funny thing about GI was that everyone who seemed to show up on this “uncharted desert isle” arrived in tiny little boats that wouldn’t be considered sea-worthy on a rough day on Lake Tahoe.
For Christ’s sake! They could have swam back to Hawaii!
They could have swum back to Hawaii! Swim, swam, swum.
Surprise, surprise! Petticoat Junction beat them both to it:
