Huh? All chips come in single serving bags.
The Haagen-Dazs people learned from them.
These were in the vending machine at work for a while. Grilled steak and onion flavor.
They are not stocked in the machie anymore, dammit.
Mike-sell’s potato chips (SW Ohio) used to be made with 100% peanut oil. They were the best.
I have been hooked on UTZ Dill Pickle.
I tried the chili nut and really liked them.
My son brought home Lime/Lemon plantain chips that tasted EXACTLY like Froot Loops. They didn’t taste bad so much as strange.
Yeah the Utz Red Hot are good, there’s a little smokiness in there too. I’ll just have a bowl of those and a Coke for lunch sometimes.
The Lay’s Reubens were good too - the flavor actually seemed to shift through the different parts of a reuben as you ate one, I was wowed. But eventually the vinegar flavor was a little too strong in those, so it was hard to really binge on them.
I know Pringles aren’t real chips, but I like the buffalo ranch flavor. Stax from Frito-Lay are a similar chip-like product and come in All-American cheeseburger flavor. You can tell I’m not a purist. I find the mass-produced mashed and dried potato product to be perfectly acceptable.
And vast swathes of Canada, of course.
If I buy potato chips, I usually buy dill pickle flavour.
I came in to say something similar. I don’t get to Trader Joe’s much any more due to distance (and cost), but they used to have the best horseradish chips in the world. Talk about not just being able to eat one.
Ruffles sour cream and cheddar are the best flavored chip ever marketed. I rarely buy a bag because I’ll eat too darn many.
New favorites: John & John crisps from World Market. The Sweet Chili & Red Pepper crisps (#2) are addictive. They also have Cyder Vinegar, Sea Salt & Pepper, Suffolk Cheddar 7 Chives, and a few others. Washed down with a Crabbie’s Cloudy Alcoholic Lemonade they make for a perfect Sunday afternoon snack.
Ruffles used to have a honey mustard flavor that was absolutely divine. Sadly, it was discontinued.
I still miss (I’m surprised just how much) the Doritos Cheeseburgers At Midnight chips, in the black bag. they actually had some cheeseburger tastes, dill pickle, cheese, and a real ‘burger’ note. Just as well as I couldn’t stop eating them.
Still waiting for someone to create Mark Watney Potato Chips.
Seldom do I buy chips for myself but I’ll eat a few in a social setting…you know, to be polite.
I do enjoy the Krunchers jalapeno and most any salt & vinegar style. I had some buffalo wing-type last weekend at a cookout which were quite tasty. I don’t love cheddar or sour cream chips.
A fellow chilehead friend of mine sometimes contacts me to see if I want to go in on a shipment of Blair’s Death Rain chips. We get the habanero type which really brings the heat but, looking at the website, I see they now have jolokia which has my mouth watering.
Sadly, I cannot seem to find these anymore;
These are a couple of my faves. I don’t have a specific favorite as I prefer variety and I bounce around on flavors.
I still miss O’Grady’s au gratin chips.
Ruffles cheddar and sour cream are the closest I’ve found now.
