A bunch of my girlfriends were talking about this a little while ago. In all seriousness, the best line is: “I noticed you over here and decided to come talk to you.”
It’s honest, simple, and flattering.

Here’s one that got laughs out of two girls -
I walked over to a table that two knockout girls were sitting at while my friend waited for me at the bar. I nervously sat my beer on their table and asked “You chicks want to dance with me and my friend?” They both burst out laughing. At that, I picked up my beer, turned around, and walked back and sat with my friend at the bar.
I think this originally came from the British comic Viz. There’s a strip called “Sid the Sexist” about a pathetic loser from Newcastle who invariably ends up getting kicked hard in the balls by the woman he’s trying to chat up. In this one he was actually doing OK for once; his initial line was something about the moon and the woman was interested. However there was then a long silence when he couldn’t think of anything else to say. He ends this by saying “Mind, pet. Ye divven’t sweat much for a fat lass.”
A personal favourite:
“get your coat pet, you’ve pulled”.
Overheard at the old Playboy Club in Dallas: “If you sleep with me, I’ll give your husband a raise.”
That don’t impress me much.
