Good morning! It snowed overnight here and got cold enough that the pavement is covered. But I doubt that it’s even half an inch. However, the temps are mid-20s, so it’s definitely brisk out there. I’m glad I’m in here.
**Kanga **- I believe withholdings for social security were reduced a couple of years ago as part of a stimulus plan. I’m not sure about the other taxes. It’s all smoke and mirrors to me anyway.
Up too early after a night of weird and stupid dreams. I have no idea what we’ll do today, but I’m sure it’ll mostly be mundane and pointless. As usual.
Who’s starting us off tomorrow? Who’s never done it? C’mon, someone, jump in here!! It’s not like it matters what the OP is, as long as there’s an OP with MMP at the end of the title…
Good Mornin’ Y’all! Up and caffienatin’. YAWN ‘Tis a cold 24 Amurrkin out with a predicted high of only 48 for the day! That is cold weather in these parts! Gonna hit below freezin’ tonight with a high in the mid 50’s tomorrow. After that it warms up again to the 70s by the end of the week. Go Figure.
Today’s big plans are to deheathenate and have MOGs bday N.O.L.. All the foodstuffs are cooked and will just need to be reheated. Well, except for the rolls but they take 20 minutes to bake. Champagne is also nicely chilled for the celebratory champagne bday toast. MOG lurves her some champagne.
Now I shall seek more caffiene and some sustenance for rumbly tummy. Then purtification for deheathenization shall commence.
Supper last night was roasted veggies and steaks. mr ems wanted steak and he volunteered to grill outside in 20 degree weather so who was I to argue
Today I am making beef stew in the crock pot which reminds me I need to run get some little potatoes which I forgot yesterday but I will do that when I go get coffee here in a bit. mr ems wanted to try to make it to a movie at lunchtime before the snow gets here but it is 14 degrees outside so I am voting for a jammie day. I bet he wins though as I don’t have a leg to stand on given our recent discussion on getting out more and trying to make friends as we don’t know anyone here in OK. He is also still snoozing and will be for a while so we shall see on that one.
Today is Mr Rebo and my 8th wedding anniversary! We decided to go out last night after all. We had a fun time, even if the restaurant was disappointing. The service was very bad, until I snagged another waitress and was able to order. (We did at least have our appetizer and drinks very quickly.) They comped our drinks and gave us free dessert. The seafood was great, though!
Today is grocery shopping day. I need to finish up my list.
**FCD *is still abed. I just finished a cup of tea, but I’s hongreeeee! It’s probably too late to go out for breakfast anyway, so I should just forage in the pantry. So much for our practice of breakfast out on the weekends. * <sigh> Unless I wake him up… hmmmmmmm
did ya miss me yesterday? I spent the day under 5 blankets because the heat was out and they oil man didn’t get here until 3pm, then it took another 4 hours for the house to warm up. I should have known this was going to happen - I got a delivery on Friday, and more often than not, the burner takes a holiday after a delivery. ah well. Nice and comfy in here today, sunny but cold outside.
Happy Sunday all.
Morning. It’s 21 degrees Ammurrikin here, with a windchill of 8. I got taken to Drag Bingo last night. That was interesting(and why is it I do the oddest things when stone cold sober?)
Mornin’ all! It’s 19 American here with a wind chill of -5 to -10. Ah, that brisk mountain air.
I took care of deheathenization early this morning. This afternoon I have to pick up Culinary Boy–I’ll take that opportunity to go to the grocery sto’ while he’s goofing off at his brother’s. Right now laundry is laundrying and while coffee is reheating.
Still not hot water. Couple knew about it before they left yesterday and failed to let me know. This is typical of Male Half. Apparently a call will be placed to fix it. Fortunately it’s so cold I can put off showering today because I doubt anything will be done before tomorrow.
Afternoon all, and a very happy Sunday to you! And of course…
Happy Reboversary!
I have had a rather lazy day - we tried to watch “Troll Hunter” last night but gave up after 15mins because it was so appallingly awful. Instead, we watched “Blitz” so I got to watch Jason Statham doing what he does best.
Today we got up late (there was some appreciatin’ going on, see…), had a late lunch (leftovers from yesterday) and I have managed to do one load of laundry and spend half an hour on the Wii. That’s about all for now, I’m currently typing this and watching Wales teach Scotland how rubgy should be played. Scrummy!
Ribs for dinner tonight but right now I think I am going to run a bath.
We ended up having our friends over for dinner last night. **Mr. Taters **made Shrimp Etouffee and it was delish! After we ate, all played several rounds of Apples to Apples and enjoyed ourselves immensely.
Today shall consist of chores; especially those I didn’t get to do yesterday since the errands and prepping for our friends to come over sucked up so much time.
It gray and dreary here, but not as cold as you folks over in the midwest and East coast have it. Stay warm and enjoy your Sunday!
So, I’m leaving the house in approximately an hour. I’ve been up for about four hours. In that time when I could/should have been doing homework guess what I’ve done?
Nothing!
Ok, so I took a shower and ate some breakfast but that doesn’t count towards accomplishing anything. And i’m pretty much out of time now because soon I’ll have to go assess the outdoor situation to see if i can make it out of the drive in my van or if I’ll either need to make tracks with the 4x4 or just take it instead of the van.
possible, in fact likely. But cleanings are covered in my oil contract, so are service calls. And this company is usually prompt; only once that I can recall did I have to wait longer than the 4-hr window, and usually they arrive within the first hour.
We had to have our tank de-crudified between Turkey Day and Christmas. Fortunately the landlord foots that bill for us. Wish he’d cover the cost of oil, too.
We have deheathenated and **N.O.L.**ed. A good time was had by all. The good news is there’s leftovers for tomorrow’s dindin which will work out fine bein’ as I start the new gig tomorrow mornin’ and have Vestry meetin’ tomorrow night. Dishes are washin’ away in the dishwasher. The ones I chose to handwash are all washed, dried and put away. OYKW has gone to his place to do some laundry. It’s cool out and da cave is warm and I’s tahrd so it’s chill mode the rest of the day.
