Better late than never MMP

**FCD **just called - he’ll be here within 2 hours, depending upon traffic. Poor baby sounded exhausted. As soon as the mattress pad comes out of the dryer, I’ll make the bed in case he wants to collapse for a nap. I’m so nice.

Happy Birthday, doggio!

And, by the way, I simply adored your poem.
At 5:30 this morning all of the dogs starting barking, loudly. Then I heard what they were hearing, it was a voice. It kind of sounded like my dad. So, being the responsible party in the house I got up and out of bed to try to figure out what was going on. Somehow the alarm clock in the other room got set and went off and was tuned to NPR. So, it was, I believe, Scott Simon who had invaded my home at such an early hour. I turned it off and went back to sleep.

Today is the day to do many unpleasant errands that I’ve been putting off for a long time. If I don’t do them now, though, the dread will continue to build. Guess I’d better get to it.

Happy Firday, all!

Hippo Birdies, CanineServant

Sticky - were the discussions of ED at least conducted in ASL?

Swampy - if OYKW can’t support you, the two of you need to find a rich old fag hag to support both of you and leave you her money when she goes. Surely the South has women like that? In return, you both accompany her to galas and everyone will think she has two lovers.

Yes, I have put a lot of thought into being “kept”, why do you ask?

Happy birthday, doggio!

I’ve been home for twenty-four hours, and it’s glorious. Going to see the girls this afternoon, and Mr. Lissar will probably visit them this evening. Boys are very happy for me to be home, and everything is going well.
:sound of retching at the thought of Twilight:

The girls were born on the night of a full moon. That’s why they’re werewolves.

Back from the Dog-n-Pony. They liked it, and I may get some business travel out of it.

DogBut, if you weren’t a dude I’d let you ride my baloney pony.

Werewolves are cool.

Brain bleach - stat!!!

My sweetie is home. Fourth load in the washer. Dishes are clean. Newest fish is dead, or at least we assume it is - we can’t find it in the tank, and we’re not going to take apart the stacks of rocks. So there’s $50 we’ll never see again. Stoopit fish.

Thirty minutes to corralling the cats for their trek to the vet. Luckily, my sweetie will help me catch them and take them.

And the newest fish did appear, then died. No idea why - he looked really healthy in the store, but in less than a week, he was toast. Stoopit fish.

And I heard from OPM - the cash windfall was my annuity supplement, not my actual retirement pay. So it’s not a total yay, but it does mean that someone is looking or has looked at my file, so partial yay!

It’s overcast and ick out. I’ve got a fire going. Life is good.

I wish that was the case, I would have closed my eyes!

I’ve had quite a day of running around and taking care of junk. My knee currently feels like it’s going to explode so I’ve got the infamous strawberry daquiri resting on it. Pretty soon I think I’m going to give up and take a nap. Then maybe I’ll tackle some homework.

Big snowstorm heading our way.

Rosie I’m likin’ your idea! Now how does one go about advertisin’ oneself for such a service. Perhaps I should do research.

Yay for the money MOOOOOOM. Maybe they’ll figure out everything soon.

I have been readin’ the hyuuuuuuuuuuuge manual off and on today. My eyes are tahrd from readin’ even. OYKW is swipin’ the General’s dindin on his way out to da cave. YUM!

StickyBuns must we explain yet again where one puts a daiquiri? :stuck_out_tongue:

Ok off to look around teh intartoobz for a bit.

Laterz!

Happy Dog Day!

Back from the vet - both kittehs have been shot and Taz has meds for an apparent allergy - he’s licked his hind end almost bare of fur. It was an adventure getting ready to go - Miss Ziva saw the carrier and took off. I caught her once, and she clawed me on the left wrist and the right tit (no pics - don’t ask) in an attempt to escape. Blood was drawn. I was finally able to pin her down in the floor where **FCD **held her till I brought the carrier. Then I held her front paws and he held the back ones so we could get her zipped in without further bloodshed. Taz was easy - he just yelled the whole way.

So they’re good on rabies for 3 years and feline leukemia for 1 year. And we’ve got to give Taz liquid meds for 3 weeks. rah.

I think it’s time to assume the knit position. Be good till I return!!

General Tso’s dindin has been consumed. YUM! YUM! OYKW and I are both feelin’ tahrd tonight. I do believe it shall soon be time to retire to the bedroom to lie upon the bed, watch teevee and ummm… maybe other stuff.

Miriam nursed really well, so their doctor wants me around for most of the feedings and overnight. We’re trying to work out details (like how I can do it when I can’t walk much, and can’t carry anything).

Mr. Lissar’s putting munchkins to bed, and I’m back off to the NICU.

After a rough week I have neither the energy nor the inclination to make dinner so Dominos will be delivering shortly.

It is cold here today. 35 with windchill of of around 25 and a low tonight of 16. Brrrrrrrrrr. So the heating is cranked right now.

mr ems is on his way home and I have martini glasses chilling in the freezer. Vodka will be ingested tonight. LibbyCat is currently having her mad 20 mins of the day and is running laps. Hopefully she will crash shortly. Life is pretty good at casa des ems

Yay for good nursing babies LiLi

Yay for Miri and Liz improving

goodnight my lovelies. have a good weekend, and if you’re in the northeast US, stay safe.

I’m up. I guess I took a nap. It’s entirely possible I may go back to bed soon.

Swampy, I’m not a big fan of strawberry or I might have found another use for the daquiri by now.

Good Mornin’ Y’all! Up and caffienatin’. YAWN 'Tis 44 Amurrkin out with a predicted high of 51 and windy. Tonight the low shall be 23 Amurrkin! So doth Winter return to south Jawja.

This mornin’ we are attendin’ a funeral. A friend and church member died on Thursday from liver/kidney complications that as I understand were part of a 40 year battle with Chron’s Disease. The funeral is at ten this mornin’. RIP Bill.

After that I get to cook. MOG’s bday was this past Monday but we’re havin’ her bday N.O.L. after deheathenization tomorrow. She wants turkey ‘n dressin’ and a chawklit cake with chawklit icin’ so da bear must get busy. The dressin’ is made but frozen so it is defrostin’ as I post. Turkey is also defrostin’. Green beans and a squish casserole shall be the vegetative matter. Yeah, fun day ahead.

Now I shall seek more caffiene, brekkie for rumbly tummy and then must purtify to go funeralize.

Happy Sattidy Y’all!

**swampy **- we got winter, too. At he moment, rain and snow are both falling - more rain than snow so far and it’s well above freezing, so there’s that. But it’s still grey and wet and overcast and icky. blech!

The only plan for today is a water change, and I’ve already got the water heating and mixing - when **FCD **is ready, the water will be ready. Since he built the new sump and filter system in the basement bathroom, the whole process, including cleaning the skimmer and replacing the filter media, takes about 10 minutes. It’s a long way from the days when we bought bottles of water at WalMart, mixed and heated them in a garbage can, and pumped them back into the tank. Yay for progress!

And my sweetie was just in the hall closet getting himself a bar of soap - he’s in the shower, and I’ll hop in next. Then we’ll go get some breakfast, as is our weekend practice. I’ll venture out into the ick to let someone else make and serve my breakfast!

Happy Saturday! And don’t forget, it’s the last shopping weekend before Valentine’s day, if you buy into that hype. If you do buy into that hype, you can send me chocolates.
