Yeah, I probably won’t be able to make it that weekend of March, either; that’s my spring break and I’m hoping to be in Germany then. But if y’all are still up for the one in May, too, I should be able to swing that one.
When is this souiree’ planned again? March? May? I see references to both months. If it is in March, no can do. I’ll be one among 400,000 other drunkards on River Street in Savannah, GA for St. Patrick’s Week! WOOHOO!!
As for May, I’m waiting for a couple to tell me their vacation week (govt workers), probably Memorial Weekend/week. Keep me posted.

Keep me posted, would like to know. I might could make the March date, as I am flying home starting that morning. The May thing might work, if it were late. It would suck, though, to miss both meetings by just a little bit. So keep me posted on the dates, and I’ll do all I can to make it to Charlotte (my parents live in Greenville).

Well, here’s a question: Could anyone besides me, possibly Satan and possibly Surgoshan make both? I’m beginning to think that doing both might not be a bad idea. That way we could maximize the most number of people.

I have frequented a place called the Southend Brewery at 2100 South Boulevard a number of times, which has convenient interstate access.
They also have a website if you’d care to look at their menu.

That place looks really good. Anyone who frequents the area who is coming to the March meeting have a problem or better suggestion?
Second, do we want to try to meet on Friday, March 17th or on Saturday, March 18th? Either is fine with me–hubby and I are both off that weekend so I leave it up to the other attendees!

I can do Charlotte in March too. What do you think about doing one of the two meetings in Raleigh?

Hmm, I was gonna bring up aenea’s objection, that maybe a brewery would be closed off to those few of us under the age of 21, but I don’t THINK we wouldn’t be allowed in, so long as we didn’t drink.
Here’s another vote for the 18th (even though that would be tough for me). I fly out of Ithaca that morning, arrive in Greenville at 230. Hmm, I just realized that the flight goes through Charlotte… Nah, I’d also need to get home. Also, what about such arrangements as sleeping? I can see driving something like four hours, staying a while, and driving 4 hours back home, but…

We’ll be working that weekend in March, so we’ll hold out for the May meeting (please let there be a May meeting.)
About the Southend Brewery, it tends to loud, making talking difficult. Also, Charlotte is a bad town to go to a bar on St. Patrick’s Day. (The local yuppies need to get their annual green beer fix…) You might want to lean toward Saturday, rather than Friday.
We’ll think about other possible places and post them later.
