Big Brother 8/9

Please let Ivette go home tomorrow. Please, please, please, please, please!

If Howie and the gang are smart, they’ll put the alliance back together now. That way, if Kaysar comes back, they’ll be able to get rid of the rest of Cappy’s faithful followers (seriously, what is wrong with those people?), no problem. It also helps them if Eric should happen to come back. If Sarah gets voted off and Eric comes back, James, Howie, Rachel, and Janelle will be the next to go, and the bad guys will win!

It shouldn’t be too difficult to get rid of Ivette, since I think April and Jennifer just might be willing to get rid of her instead of Sarah. As has been noted, Sarah’s pretty useless without James. She’s not really a threat to anyone once he’s gone. Ivette is the bigger threat, and the most annoying to boot! I really cannot stand that woman.

Also, remember that voting ends today for who you’d like to see get back into the Big Brother house.

James is the joker card, though. He seems to fancy himself as the new Will, but doesn’t quite grasp how it’s done. Will did lie, but not the kind of bridge-burning lying that James is doing. I think that the greatest danger to Kaysar when he comes back will be James.

I have voted for Kaysar to come back but not in overload mode. (I did that sort of thing for Rupert to win the million in the Survivor bonus thing.)

I can’t imagine Michael mustering the votes, but Eric has a chance.

The best-case scenario for me will be:

Kaysar comes back
Ivette get booted
Rachel gets HOH again
She puts up James and Jennifer (as a pawn)
Anybody but James gets Veto and leaves things alone
James goes away.

Then we can eliminate (in more or less this order)

Beau
April
Sarah (these can be in any order, but must go first before:)

Howie
Maggie
Jennifer
Janelle
Rachel
Kaysar – to win it, although the voting will be very close

(did I leave anybody out? If so, they’ll be under the radar and win it!)

Oh yeah. What’s going to be the next big secret?

James is definitely a huge threat. I just don’t think there’s any point in getting rid of Sarah before James. He doesn’t need her to win it, but she needs him. This is a chance for the others to use him to their advantage. They can return the favor and screw him over later. Once they pick off the more dangerous members of Crappy’s gang, namely Maggie and Ivette, James and Sarah go back up on the block.

I’m still rooting for Kaysar to win this whole thing, and if it can’t be him, I want it to be Howie.

Ivette is the secret love child of Eric and Maggie.

Okay, not really. I just wanted to point out that I didn’t type “Crappy” instead of “Cappy” on purpose in my last post, though it is a pretty funny typo, if I do say so myself.

yellowval, I keep suspecting that instead of being some big revelation about this group of house guests, the next secret might be something as weird as bringing back one of the former guests from other series to see if their tactics would keep them in the house more than a week.

Assume that’s it just for a little fun discussion. Who would be able to last longest from past Big Brothers with the current gang (I must assume) being aware of how they behaved in past seasons?

I’d have to bet on Lisa first. Will last. But I would hate to see Jun again.

Since I have no interest in the Live Feed, does anybody watching that have a clue about the next surprise?

I don’t get why Howie was so quick to put up James and Sarah.

As it last stood the house was still divided Howie,Rachel,Janelle,James,Sarah (5)
versus Maggie,April,Jennifer,Beau,Ivette (5).
Now suddenly Howie deserts his team and puts up James and Sarah because why? Because Ivette says so? She was on the other team. Howie didn’t even bother to ask James if it was true. Howie just listens to the entire enemy team and says “really, he said that, then he’s going down.”

Even if James was caught in a lie it was a lie to Ivette. He could have told Howie “Yes, I told her I’d put you up. But this is Ivette were talking about, you know, a member of the enemy team. Of course I’m going to lie to her you big dummy! Why didn’t you come talk to me first?”

Ugh. Definitely not Jun. By the end of that season, I hated Jun and Alison so badly, I didn’t want either one to win. I don’t think I could stand to have Holly from last year back, either. She grated on my nerves something fierce.

I’m not thinking very far back, because I have a hard time remembering what I did yesterday, but I’d really like to see Nokomis come back. I wanted her to win last year, and she’d be a great contrast to the house full of pretty boys/girls this year. She’s also a lot smarter than many of them.

Who was the girl with the funky hair from season one? I liked her, too. Hmmm … it appears that I like the girls with funky hair. I wonder what my husband would think if he knew?

Nokomis was the cleverest one last year and I preferred her to the finalists.

I missed season one almost altogether so I can’t help there.

Ones I’d like to see again:

Amy (just for the thrill of seeing this gang freak out)
Hardy (to give Howie a run for his money)
Nicole (because she could have a shot at winning)
Marvin (just because he was mean)
Jack (although he was weak at competition)
Erika (I just liked her)

Ones I’d hate to see again:

Alison
Marcellas
Bunky
Kent
Nathan
Josh
Mike Boogie
Jee
Cowboy
(God, basically all that I didn’t name above. I know there must be one or two others I liked. )

Will also told everybody he was going to lie to them and screw them before he did it. Then he’d lie to them and screw them, then he’d say “I told you I was going to lie to you and screw you.” He did it in such a way that it never seemed personal and that he was just playing it as a game. He seemed to be having such a good time with it and taking the whole thing as such a joke that he managed not to generate any resentment. Will was one of my favorite reality show contestants ever. One of the few who ever seemd conscious of how ridiculous the game was and who took some enjoyment out of playing it purely as a game without taking anything personally or taking himself too seriously.

James does not have the ability to charm his way out of things the way Will did, neither does he have the ability to make it not seem personal. Will had a quality of being able to play the game to beat you without making it seem as though he didn’t like you. It was like a game of one-on-one with him. We might be buddies, but I’m taking you to the hole. That’s a rare quality on these shows.
