And then she’ll make some budget deals with the Republicans and you’ll be reminded why you don’t like her and why we really don’t think she’s all that bad.
I was down until Putin showed up.
What a bizarre OP. Seriously, foolsguinea, just wow.
Shut up, adaher! You are never supposed to be right.
What makes you think the Republicans won’t be as hostile to her as they’ve been to President Obama? She’s white, but she’s a woman.
Will the Republicans suddenly become The Loyal Opposition? Or will they continue to be the party that’s given us the gallery of grotesques vying for the Presidential Nomination?
The Republicans were quite hostile to her husband. But we’re always willing to do business. It will be no different with his wife. Major Republican objectives will be achieved during her term, just as they were during her husband’s.
Besides, when we find out about Bill’s misadventures you don’t think we’ll be more intelligent this time about how we take advantage of it? We’ll just blackmail him this time.
They weren’t nearly as hostile to Bill as they’ve been to Obama, and they hated Hillary before she was even a candidate. Unless the Tea Party wing gets the boot - and let’s keep in mind the nutjob candidates are dominating the presidential primaries - it will be no better.
I don’t see the big deal about what Bill did in the White House that wasn’t work-related. In the 20th century, these presidents were known to have affairs: Harding, F Roosevelt, Kennedy, Johnson, and Clinton. Four good presidents and one stinker. There are a few that we’re quite sure never cheated: Ford, Carter, and Obama come to mind. The office is the presidency, not the head of a monastery or nunnery. Keep us out of war, keep the economy humming and I don’t care if you’re having your jollies with your spouse, your intern, or livestock.
But Jimmy committed adultery in his heart!
Jimmy’s so honest I bet he still feels bad about taking a cookie from the jar without asking when he was three.
If Hillary is elected, one of her first actions will be to move the Resolute desk out of the oval office and replace it with another historical desk or a new one.
I think I’m now more inclined to back Hillary now that she’s a dick puppet with a wig.
I’d love to see a nice glass and chrome desk in there, and some Dali’s on the wall.
The difference seems to be that with Clinton it was pathological, which put his Presidency at risk and did result indirectly in Al Gore’s loss. The opportunities for blackmail when someone has a problem like that are legion.
Clinton is also the only President to have multiple accusers of sexual assault and/or harassment. Another poster tried to claim that there was a motivation to bring him down, therefore his accusers can’t be believed, yet why was Clinton singled out? How come the same tactic hasn’t been used against Obama? Because either Clinton is guilty, or he is innocent but left himself open to such accusations because it is well know that the man has a problem.
The stories about JFK seem pretty pathological too
They seem pretty asshole to me, but it seems to me like a man in power taking advantage of his power. Whereas with Clinton, it’s needy, pathetic, and uncontrollable. Thank goodness he wasn’t a Cold War President, the Russians would have had the nuclear launch codes.
You’re a fucking goofball.
Are you implying that Clinton was in control, knew what he was doing?
Please, he and John Edwards were peas in a pod. Not only couldn’t control themselves, but were perfectly willing to bring the entire party down with them just so they could get some affection.
I’m implying that cheating is cheating. Clinton was actually decent enough to fight it a bit.
You’re a fucking goofball. A stupid, ideological goofball that says anything without regard to reality or facts as long as it supports whatever nonsense gibberish you’re trying to sell in the moment.
Most people stray now and then. Clinton did it so often and so easily that it was pathological. Sure, many Presidents and candidates have cheated. Only Clinton had several people come forward.
He fought it? Dude, it was like early in the government shutdown and he was wandering the halls! What do you think happened, he tripped and fell into Monica’s face?
