We went on a hike this weekend to Lisha Kill Preserve. It was a nice hike, in the woods, with no one around. Only problem was the BUGS. I tell you there was about 1000x mosquitoes because the creek was all but dried up and there was just a bit of very slow flowing water. Ugh.
He couldn’t do any worse than The Room. Ed Wood movies may be bad, but at least they’re entertaining. Plus, he made *Glen or Glenda *which is in a class all by itself. Whether that’s good or bad I leave to the viewer to decide.
It is insanely humid today. I was going to repot my poor little African violet, but I have to do that outside and it’s way too hot. Time to hide in the cave until the sun goes down.
In the midst of making crayons. I’ve got 8 dinosaurs and 6 animals done, with another dozen dinos and 5 sea critters melting down right now. All that from 2 packs of crayons (minus the black and white crayons.
rosie, I used to have a Basset. While a nice bay is desirable in a hunting dog, a pet who insists upon accompanying a houseful of musicians can be annoying. I do miss Fred though. As an apartment dweller, I wouldn’t inflict a Basset, beagle or bloodhound on my neighbors.
On US31W, where Nashville segues into one of the northern suburbs, there used to be one of the official green signs that read Goodlettsville Citty Limits. It stayed that way for a few years. In a dive where I played music once, in the ladies’ room was a handlettered sign that said Please don’t puke in sink. Classy kind of place, it was.
I also saw while I was sitting on the deck that something has chewed at the wood over the deck. I had some Great Stuff and we filled the hole, great fun since as the stuff expanded out of the hole it dropped every where. Sah-son managed to avoid getting it into his hair.
I’ve lived in the city and I’ve lived in the country and I have never had so many problems with critters around my house. Then again I always had normal dogs that chase after critters, so maybe that kept them away.
I washed the dog’s bed and hung it over the railing out back. It should be dry by now.
I need some lunch but I’m back to feeling nauseous every time I look at food. I wonder how much longer until I feel back to normal, I’m getting tired of feeling this way. I go back to the doctor on Friday, I am not looking forward to it.
“I have a dream that my crayons will one day live in a nation where they will not be judged by the color of their pigment, but by the sharpness of their point”
The bathroom and kitchen is clean, I swept the common sidewalk, and Gordie has had 3 walks(I’ll spare you the details of his pooping).
sari, I have rabbits hang out in front of my door. So much for Gordie the mighty hunter.
There is a beagle next door to the current VunderLair. His mom takes him for a nightly walk, and it sounds like he’s being tortured from all the noise he makes. The real picture is this little 25ish pound dog is pulling a rather full figured woman down the road, and she is the one losing the fight.
Here in CA we haz weather conditions that seem more like MO. It got down to a steamy 74 degrees last night. Bleah. Didn’t open the windows. Thunderboomers, but rain didn’t reach our house. Piffle.
Today, says the Weather folks, it shall be 92 (with liquid air levels of humidity, stoopid hurricane off the coast), but tonight it’s supposed to start cooling off. Yay!
Terrablurf +1 That’s all I got for a Moanday so far.
Howdy from irk! I made it to the extreme southeast forty and back. Yay Me! When I leave irk I shall head over to the church house where I shall change into some comfy shorts and tshirt before beginnin’ to make dindin for rugrats.
sari have you gotten more treats for Sah-dawg yet? We can’t have him goin’ without treats now can we?
I spent a lovely, hot, humid, miserable day in the middle of the forest yesterday. Today, I have a rather unpleasant sunburn. :smack: It’s still hot, sticky, and miserable outside. Thanks be to Og for air conditioning.
