All the crayons are finally freed from their papers. The crayon critters are all bagged and ready for the store. Supper will be rotini with sketty sauce.
I’ve emptied the dishwasher, but I haven’t remade the bed - I’ll get my sweetie to help me with that later. For now, I’s tahred and waiting for the pasta to finish boiling.
Ran errands on the bike, did some shopping the same way, started the long re-application process at semi-work, and started packing to head to Knoebels. Friday is Family Day for any interested Mumpers but as always be warned – in my family I am the shy and quiet one. This will be the first one Herself has missed but we have a couple friends substituting for her. Will probably leave sometime Thursday and probably be home by Sunday.
On an unrelated note: I don’t know if I mentioned after the cathouse (I did mention I won a fair bit of beer, right?) but I found out that the shelters mascot/actual boss “Smoochie” passed away in September. Me and the volunteers had several tears over it. The Princess was a fantastic 90% normal cat for being basically in a kitty wheelchair and clearly ruled all the humans around her - even me. They haven’t found a cat to replace her (like one ever could) but them and their vet have their eyes open for one who can be just the right spokes-cat for their mission and what they can do.
Now I think I’ll go grab a couple more brews in her honor and do some drunkposting later.
Howdy Y’all! Finally at da cave after a looooooooooong day! Irk was not too irksome so there’s that. Tonight was pizza night at VBS so that was easy. The pizza’s came from Little Caesar’s. All us chefs had to do was make up a sallit, cut up watermelon, and make iced tea and lemonade. Oh and I went ahead and made up the taco meat for tomorrow. There shall be both beef and chikin tacos with all the fixin’s. Plus, ice cream and cookies! YAY!
OK, Ima go snoop teh intartoobz for a little bit and then it’s beddy bye time. I’s tahrd!
I’m watching the news and ranting because I just heard Mark Geragos (at least I think it was him) talking about Bill Cosby and saying something about the “statue” of limitations…okay, I will be quiet now.

There seems to be a problem with the network at the building again? DVR is working but the network is causing problems
with the camera system and guard could not send DAR this morning? FYI.

That is also Good Advice, but the general idea expressed in the proverb is that if you are a Nice Guy and remain calm, you will live to see the folks who offend you croak.
:dubious:
Swampy I’m a bad mommy. I didn’t buy any treats today but we do have leftover pizza crust, which the dog thinks is the nectar of the gods.
I’ve had treats on order for over two weeks, I don’t know what the holdup is.
Doggio I wish they were rabbits, but I suspect it’s the squirrels. I’m hoping that since the hole wasn’t there yesterday that no babies are in there to stink up the place. I hope there were no adults in there who are going to find another place to chew themselves out.
Bobbio- we knew it was going to drip, so he shot it sideways in the hole and got out of the way as it expanded and dripped.
My annoyance of the day, petty that it is.
I keep seeing stuff about the foal DiVinci who has an outline of a foal on his neck and most of the articles I see says the outline is on his flank. It is not on the flank and you’d think a reporter could get simple anatomy right.
I has a Toosday blurf and I Don Twanna. There’s very little going on at irk just now so it is often a case of sitting here all day trying to look busy which is hard work in itself. Not to mention it’s rather boring.
I had a flurry of texts from 'im indoors yesterday because the bailiffs had turned up to our Polish neighbours over an unpaid £1,120 debt and were at the point where they have the right to remove goods from the house to the value of the amount owed. The woman who lives there (and may or may not be the mother of the two kids) claims to speak no English so the youngest kid was translating for her. Turns out she was blaming the debt on a relative who doesn’t live in the house, and was trying to contact that person to come and talk to bailiffs to sort it out.
I have no idea what the outcome was because just as three blokes turned up (who may or may not have included the relative), 'im indoors had to go out to the dentist so we never found out whether the bailiffs took anything away or not.
I have it on no authority whatsoever that reporters are more concerned with looking good and perhaps coming up with clever sign-off lines than knowing facts or even basic things like how to pronounce the names of people and places. The worst seem to populate the morning “news” shows where banter dominates. Forward with the dumbing of the nation…
Oh, yeah, good morning! Rumor has it that a cold front will be coming thru and whisking away the humidity. I like that rumor. The lower temps will be nice also, plus there’s a chance it will bring rain. I approve of a nice, cool shower.
Plans for today: I think I need to make one more tray of dinosaur crayons to fill the bags. I’m also going to paint/stencil a few bibs. I’ll need to sacrifice one to determine if doing an iron-on will melt the plastic under-layer. The transfer requires 30 seconds at the highest temp. So we shall see…
Welcome to the MMP, Madame!! And to partially answer for doggio: there is a recipe blog where a lot of us have shared our goodies. I don’t know what **doggio **has contributed, but it’s a place to start. Personally, I think he works from a massive “What to do with chicken and rice” cookbook.
Beyond that, just another day in paradise! Happy Tuesday!
