Bizarro World Ice Cream Truck…A Herald of Spring MMP

Well, that was the fastest I’ve ever decided to have surgery. About 3 minutes from when I showed the doctor the new baby alien in my finger to when he starts doing the orders for scheduling. Knife Day is about a month in the future.

What I learned today: if you let pine needles sit for a couple of years without raking them up, they smell like feeder crickets once you finally start raking. bleck smiley

There’s a lot of chicken in the fridge. I have the urge to make Death Chicken.

Ow ow ow ow ow ow ow!!! Also ow!

Hi kai and SO and Shelli!!!

I’m home a bit early as I have an important hair appointment in about 20 minutes.

Didn’t get lots done at work, but…what else is new?

Took pictures of things that are coming up because I want to keep a better record this year. I have a few more to take before posting them. I’m grateful we don’t get much pine pollen around here. Cuz the stuff we get is quite enough. Next month will be no fun, allergy-wise.

Guess I should do something productive before going off to the hair place…

Back later.

Bleah. I left work early because I’ve got a nasty (but improving, thank Og) muscle spasm in my back. But I didn’t leave before we had birthday cake for one of the front desk guys! Yay, chocolate for breakfast!

kai, it is supposed to be spring. Enough snow! You already have a volcano, you don’t need a blizzard as well! (It’s supposed to snow here in the next couple of days. Ahh, March. The Indecisive Month.)

Howdy Y’all! I’m home and happy. Happy cause I’m home. I’s tahred!

Moonie take gotti’s advice. He’s the one with the experience here. Here’s hopin’ the healin’ is good.

Good idea Spaz! Think I’ll make some death chicken this week. I haven’t made it in a while. I know! Let’s all make death chicken for dindin one night this week! It’ll be fun! Ok, well maybe not fun but it will be good.

Later Y’all!

Yeah, I really miss the days my grandma used to sit around and give me advice about my nipple piercings…

Moonie - all I can say is

I am no longer under a wine haze but the pollen is still kicking my ass so I will try to go grab a bite and an antihistamine and be back later!

I’m making Death Chicken tonight. I was going to make it last night, but MiL took us out to dinner. So, now I have to make it tonight.

Hmmmmm… Why do I have a sudden craving for Death Chicken?

Time to head home. I should have left 45 mins ago, but I was on a roll and just wanted to finish what I was doing before I lost all desire and initiative. I’ll just sneak out early sometime this week to make up for it.

Sending lots of no-snow thoughts in the direction of those that need them (which includes us… they’ve decided to forecast flurries later this week, which falls under the header Just Not Fair, Dammit)

zoooooooooooooooom

Last time I made Death Chicken, the family decided they didn’t like it any more. Oh well.

Supper was jazzed-up hamburger helper. I got the cheeseburger flavor, and added chopped onions and peas-n-carrots. It was pretty good for a quickie meal.

Wish I’d had some dessert.

No Death Chicken for Spaz because Spaz has no cream of anything soup. :frowning: I made faken Beef Stroganoff instead.

Oh bad word… I need to access the online page for my Dynamics course, so I can print out notes to study from. The teacher posts annotated transcripts of all his lectures, plus practice tests, study guides, and more. It’s hugely helpful for test prep.

Unfortunately Blackboard, which hosts the online pages for all courses at UMBC, is currently down. All I get when I try to login is an endless string of post-redirects. It’s a bug that has been plaguing the system all semester, and it is currently screwing me over royally.

prophecies of DOOM

I may need to try Death Turkey. We cooked up a turkey yesterday because we had three of the things in the freezer.

After dinner last night, the bird looks like we only ate one drumstick. There’s going to be much creativity in the next week to consume it…

 Go wash you mouth out with soap this instant young man!

gotti because I am above all things helpful, I present to you…

The Top Ten Things To Do With Leftover Turkey.

No need to express your gratitude. Just knowin’ I’ve helped is enough for me.

Yay! I was able to connect to Blackboard and check my class schedule; the exam is Thursday, not Tuesday! goes back to doing noffing

I feel less like I died a week ago. We’re sticking the kidlet in bed, I’m having a bath, and then I’m going to collapse. Possibly with ice cream. My appetite disappeared for one half day, and now I’m starving. As usual.

That’s wonderful, swampy. So helpful.
Muppet- that productivity- can I borrow some?

Blackboard effing sucks. It waits until the worst possible moment to crash. I think it’s halfway sentient.

I’m thinking I should add that top 10 to the blog.

Forgot to send get-well wishes to LiLi earlier. Sends more chicken soup through CD.

Timothy Geithner is stalking me. He wrote a column in today’s Wall St. Journal (read part of it on the bus on the way home from work). Next thing I know, he’s being interviewed on NPR. ::Looks nervously behind the chair::

Off to fold more pots and maybe plant a few seeds. Yay!

Spaz - Doesn’t it though? It will invariably tank only when you need to access critically important information. And it will do so on a weekly basis. I don’t understand how it manages to be so consistently terrible.

It’s still better than MasteringPhysics and MathZone and WileyPlus though.

Oh phooey! Someone blabbed. Not directly, but they off-handedly suggested to our friends that as long as they were having their baby baptized that they could have a more formal wedding.

Phooey, phooey, phooey! So much for that surprise!

I just came in here because that is an awesome ice cream truck.
