While laughable when taken out of context, I don’t have too much of a problem with Sessions’ answer in the strict law enforcement sense. He mentions that there was “partisan” evidence found, but in the strict sense of “what was the bomber’s manifesto, did he have specific goals when he picked the selection of targets, was he inspired by a particular Trump speech or just general hatred?” it’s too soon to tell.
I think to go further in an official AG statement would cross the line to political speculation (even if any reasonable person speculating on available facts would come to the obvious general conclusion).
I’m not claiming that overheated rhetoric is always violent. The fact that this bombing can’t even be discusssed anywhere but in the pit is pretty strong evidence that it is overheated. Do you deny that that the Pit doesn’t have an abundance of overheated rhetoric? Because that’s laughable.
And it’s not just here, it’s* everywhere*. It infests literally every public forum that’s not heavily moderated. And no, Trump didn’t invent it. He certainly isn’t helping though.
Syroc, 56, is a former stripper. I’d like to know when he was a stripper.
He also has been reported to Twitter in the past for making threats and Twitter told the complainants that he wasn’t violating their rules.
This isn’t quite a Gish Gallop post but it’s close enough. The bolded part is ridiculous, idiotic and unsupported by facts. It taints the rest of your post, making the whole thing a laughable retort.
He’s trying to say that Democrats are so out of control, so violent and filled with hate that they can’t talk about someone trying to kill a dozen or so Democrats with bombs without being violent and hate-filled.
Wow, you really are making my “overheated rhetoric” points for me, aren’t you? I’ll take the charitable view that you view the Pit as some amusing hobby, not that you’re an asshole and it’s your perfect home.
Yeah, I missed it, as I consider this topic neither “mundane”, nor “pointless.” Also, this is a little bigger than Soros I think. The only reason I saw this thread is the one I was posting on got moved to the Pit. I normally avoid this board like the plague.
Oh, yeah, you got me. That’s TOTALLY what I’m saying. Check my post history. I have a long and prolific record of painting democrats crazed, violent, and hate-filled. Anyway, I’m out. Have fun down here.
I’m just gonna take this moment to say, why are some people so terrified of the pit? It’s just a bunch of people jawing away like everywhere else, except that we’re allowed to be rude. Woo. Scary. Rudeness.
Oddly the people mentioning this aversion tend to be extremely rude while doing so, making their aversion to the environs even more nonsensical.
