Bones: 2010 Season (no spoilers in OP, but spoilers abound)

Did anyone see the opening?

I just caught it on Hulu. Very enjoyable.

I enjoyed it. Bones’ new haircut is cute and she even managed to flirt a little. She seems a little more normal this year. Although not so much as to make her not-Bones.

Mr. Nigel Murray won a million dollars on Jeopardy. Loved that.
They had most of the interns off somewhere. I expected them to find a way to return Zack.

Some of the premise seemed a little labored, but I didn’t mind too much.

Although she is said to be the best in the business, Cam seemed someone ineffective.

Angela is still my favorite -

even if she is pregnant…
I hope they don’t let that intrude too much.

Bones: Bones fell in love in Afghanistan
Angela: Oh, I’m so sorry
Bones: Why are you in love with Booth?
Angela: A little bit, but that’s not what I mean.

Hey, my post finale prediction was right about Angela and Hodges! That’s pretty cool considering I go out of my way to avoid spoilers  Of course, it was supposed to be a year, not seven months so I was off with the “very,” but still…

How long do you think the reporter will have a place in Booth’s heart? I’m betting she’s gone during November sweeps.

You’ve got to figure she’s reporting with a red shirt on and somehow Booth and Bones will have a reason to go investigate her death in Iraq.

Yeah, I’m not sure Booth is all THAT into her. He is very keen on showing everyone how awesomely hot she is, and doesn’t seem that interested in HER. I’m wondering if it’s a bit of a sham.

Why the heck didn’t Cam just run a DNA test on the bones of the child? If she couldn’t figure that out she deserved to lose her job. That was a pretty flimsy premise to hang a plot on.

I also didn’t buy that Cam was out of ideas for IDing the bones. All in all, the whole premise of that to get the group back together was flimsy for me. They could have hand waved it as far as I was concerned because I like the characters more than the mystery.

Although a constant intern would be nice some days but the variety isn’t bad either. I would rather have Zack back, though.

Yeah that part of the story was ridiculous. Cam would have found some other job after everyone else left.

Odd, I thought Tempe was weirder than before. And I, too, was annoyed by the no DNA thing with the bones. On the whole, I enjoyed the episode though.

She did.

Daisy stripping down to her undies to ward off the guerrillas was hilarious.

My biggest gripe -

Not one cop or detective ever thought to follow the missing kids dad ? to the kids favorite park? The park that was the only one near some other relative of the father, in the same frackin city?

Beyond that, Isles makes a better bones than bones - and she is more annoying this season.

Cam looked a little like she’d been rode hard and put up wet. Hair and makeup not quite there. I do so want Zack to return! Angela’s teeth are still too big for her mouth. Tempe pretending she doesn’t see Booth as someone special in her life is getting old. But what can ya do? When the sexual tension between main characters is resolved, it’s the beginning of the end of any series where that happens.

Just got around to watching it, I had to DVR it as we were out.
I can not see Cam being so ineffective - the top coroner in DC has some serious chops, and she was acting like a fresh out of school coroner. The replacement bug guy and forensic anthropologist not being able to properly date the corpse and tell that it was a 3 year old by bone growth is hosed up.

I love Sweets playing piano in a store, and think he looks wicked good in a beard and mustache.

I am not sure about Booth’s new squeeze, She probably will not last more than 3 of 4 episodes.

I love the mammoth in the lab … I can’t wait for the next episode to see if there are any animals left hanging around when they reset the lab setup.
Did she? Then why was she referring to the ‘bug guy’ etc as ‘replacements’? In any case, she should either have known the bone stuff or had access to an expert. The skeleton wasn’t such a big mystery that only Brennan could find the clues. Angela and intern guy both saw the clues.

I don’t know. But she wasn’t working for the Jeffersonian any more.

I agree.

Best line: “I find it interesting that I am only afraid of snakes when Booth is around to be jumped upon.”

Edit: I’m re-watching it, and the heavy-ham-handedness of the lines and excuses used to get the team back together is so terrible that if this was the first episode I’d ever seen, I’d not have watched a second. The writing is really, really bad. I hope they go back to being better than this.

Poor Cam didn’t look quite right - too much makeup?

I was embarrassed at how excited I was to see this show again, because it is not a good show. But it was like wrapping myself up in a warm blanket and I was sad that it wasn’t longer.

I’ve felt that the show was fairly high quality (except to my dismay perhaps the Zooey episode) until the 100th episode (?) where Booth is stuck on that boat. That episode came across like it was fan fiction. Since then, it has seemed like there is a main writing team that is fairly competent, and some kind of substitute writing team from the internet that takes over when the main team needs a week off. It really has that dichotomy feel to me.

Wasn’t Booth reactivated by the Army? Can he really just tell them he has had enough and wants to go back to work on murders and be with his son? I am sure that there are lots of people who would rather be home with thier families after 7 months in combat who don’t get that chance.
