Home on medical leave, I’ve been watching a lot of daytime TV, Among the shows I’ve caught up on is Bones on TNT. Dialogue makes it clear that Sweets died fairly recently, and that Daisy had his baby some time afterward. What happened?
I had stopped watching Bones regularly by this point, but I think he was killed on orders by a big bad of a season (or a season finale) in a parking garage. Shot by the assailant, he died in a parking garage as Bones and Booth call for an ambulance
Couldn’t Booth at least bite him and turn him into a vampire?
I’m sure there’s some fan story somewhere that posits that Angel died afdter the fifth season finale of his own show; that the events of the Jasmine arc had fulfilled the terms of the Shanshu prophecy; that W&H’s attempt to get him to sign away his rights to a reward were bullshit; and that after that the aforementioned death, he was sent backwrds in time and reborn as Seeley booth.
How did Hodgins wind up in a wheelchair?
Bomb. Hidden in a body.
And lose his fortune?
Because if I were a paranoid billionaire trust fund baby with a real job, as he started off as being, I’d have been squirreling away a million dollars a year in pivate accounts, independent of the trust, for all my adult life. PARTICULARLY after the Grave Digger incident.
If memory serves, I believe it had something to do with that Pelant guy. Some comically overelaborate scheme to force Hodgins to make a choice between losing his money and [something else; I don’t remember].
Here’s the character page from the Bones Wiki. Just scroll till you get what you want.
He’s currently playing in a 2nd rate metal band in Asgard.
The actor pissed off one of the script writers ?
Actually, John Francis Daley has gone on to other things. He just co-wrote the screenplay for Spider-Man: Homecoming. He also directed the latest **Vacation **movie.
My vision is compromised. The formatting on that page makes it difficult for me to read, and for some reason my text-to-speech program won’t work well for it.
Even if that were so, it would be the story external reason, not the plot reason.
Here’s the relevant part about Sweets death from that page.
The actor asked for time off from the show to do something movie related (I think it was the Vacation movie mentioned already).
At the time it was presented as “we came to the mutual agreement that this would be an interesting way to go with the character…”
I don’t know if it was really “you dare put other stuff above us, well we’ll Colonel Blake you…”
Back to in story, they show managed to keep it a secret, not even teasing that someone was going to maybe die, and it was a very sudden turn of events within the episode.
Thanks.
I still miss Zack.
I actually stopped watching when Hodgins hit the wheelchair.
StG
About that…
Is Sweets the guy who when he died the others sang, “He put the lime in the coconut and drank it all up” as they carried his coffin to a hearse?
