Bosda In Car Wreck! Nation Frantic With Worry!

I went out to lunch today, & got broadsided.

She ran the red light at 45 or 50 miles per hour.

My car is a mess.

Every inch of my body hurts.

Black eye. Glasses destroyed.

Both of us were taken to the hospital.

No reports yet, but eyewitnesses say she was definately (SP?) at fault.

Kudos to 2 total strangers–a guy named Tim Hamilton, who witnessed, & drove me to the emergency room. Also to an unnamed employee of Nashville Gas who called 911 & helped in many other ways.

I’m very unhappy right now, but I’ll live.

No word on the other driver.

Updates to follow.

Wow. Glad to hear that you’re ok (I’m assuming you were released from the hospital. Or do they often bring computers with internet access into a patient’s room?)

Did the woman have insurance??

Tough Nuts. Was she drunk or something?

Whew! Glad to hear you’re okay. I mean a black eye and some sore muscles is tough, but it beats the alternative. Draw a hot bath and soak in some epson salts. It’ll help with the soreness.

So glad to hear you’re fine, other than bumps and bruises. We lost our car a couple of months ago due to some idiot pulling out in front of my husband. He and the children are fine: the car, however, gave it’s life to save theirs.

We loved that car, but they are much more important.

I would offer a hug, but it might be a major ouchie for you. I’ll just send along my thoughts and prayers for a speedy recovery.

Kai

Thanks goodness there’s no serious injuries. The nation of Bolivia will rest more easily now.
(You never said which nation was frantic with worry, I’m guessing Bolivia. Did I get it right? Do I win a prize?)

Glad to hear that you are OK. I wish you a quick recovery. Take it easy and don’t push yourself too hard.

Oof. I hope you get better quick. And remember, painkillers are your friends. Real fine freinds they are.

good grief. i’m glad to hear that you’ll be okay. i do hope she is insured.

Thanks to those who have posted, [sub]so far.

Although, a universally beloved figure such as myself deserves a few more.[/sub]

Epsom salts are being deployed, even as we speak.
Argentina, not Bolivia * Crunchy Frog*.

<sings Madonna>Don’t Cry For Me, Argentinaaaaa,

It Looks Much Better
In Technacolor…</sings Madonna>

Wishing you a speedy recovery, Daniel. I’m only glad that your injuries were not worse.

Bosda, I LIKED your song. Maybe one of the talented artists that frequent this board can do a complete version!

Yes, painkillers ARE your friends! You think you feel stiff and sore now, wait until you have gone 24 hours. Glad to hear you are OK.

Was the nurse hot?

Not only was the nurse not hot, she was virtually indifferent to the fact that almost collapsed in the lobby.
The bum. :stuck_out_tongue:

Sore, bruised, unhappy.

Things To Do Today: [ol]

[li]Call Nashville Metro Police, & see if the report is ready.[/li]
[li]Find out where the cops had my car towed to.[/li]
[li]If report is ready, go get report.[/li]
[li]Contact optical shop at Penny’s, ask about guarantee.[/li]
[li]If no guarantee, call Visa & ask if my card gives me a warranty.[/li]
[li]Get new glasses, if applicable.[/li]
[li]Maybe car hunt.[/li]
[/ol]
I just wanna soak in the tub. :frowning:

Oh, Man!:frowning:

Sorry, Bosda!! Take it east, and I hope you feel better soon!

Soak some more, and let the car-shopping wait…

Well, I’m not an Argentine, nor do I play one on television, but I’m certainly frantic with worry… well, maybe not frantic, but definitely worried… well, at least concerned…
ummmm, hope you get to feeling better soon. (I have an almost-16-year-old who’s itching to get her license - stories like this scare the bedoobies outta me…) Glad it wasn’t worse - good luck to ya!

Glad to hear that aside from bumps and bruises that you are for the most part well.
Any word on the other driver?
I know you are upset and all, but I would like to say it is pretty cool that even tho she hit you and could have done even more damage, you seemed concerned about her wellfare.

Just a fellow Tennesseean reporting to say glad that it wasn’t worse. Sue!

Hi.

Hmm…Just kidding on the Sue! thing. Accidents happen.
