I’m going to hijack this thread for just a sec. I just got back from Boston on Thursday after a quick four day visit. I am SO jealous of the dopers who live there. What an absolutely beautiful, beautiful city, and so much to do.
Back to your regularly scheduled thread. 
It is a nice city. It’d be damn near perfect if it weren’t filled with so many Boston sports fans. 
Aw, come back to Lux now, everybody. I didn’t mean it. I cherish Boston sports fans, really. It’s just that sometimes I get to drinkin’ and the demon come out. I’m a good man. It’s just so hard, you know, with all the hours I work to put food on the table for you and the baby, and then I come home and just want to sit down with a six pack and pass out in front of the news, and then the baby gets to cryin’, and you know I love you, I love you so much but you just start naggin’, you do baby I can’t think of no other way to put it, I’m sorry but you just start naggin’ and then I just don’t know what I’m doin’ anymore.

I have no problem with that. erl and I were trying to think of a place in the city that can accomodate both a) many dopers, if it comes to that, and b) our underage brothers and sisters (actually, I don’t think we took the underage dopers into account at all, but, of course, we should). We were having trouble thinking of someplace, but we didn’t really try that hard. We were too busy attempting, with varied success, not to embarrass ourselves at pool.
Attempting to get a waitress to bring us a damn beer!
But yeah, we do need a sort of regular location. Restaraunt? Street corner? I really just don’t know.
And, pam, I assume that Friday isn’t a “weeknight”?
Friday I can do as long as it’s either a) After 9 pm, or b) I have about a month’s notice so I can take the whole day off. Saturdays and Sundays I have no chance of getting off entirely, and after my days of hell, I’m really in no mood to go out. At least until March when I can legally drink…then a night of boozing might be just what I need after a long day of work…
Weeknights sound good to me. (However, I have a crazy, constaly changing schedule next month so I’ll probably just be a drop in.
Might I suggest Gillian’s as the place? It’s T-accessible, and all-ages for at least a few hours (IIRC). Plus it has pool … Just a thought.
Oh, and it appears that I’m about three months older than Pammi.
It is fine for me, no doubt about it. And I think Thursdays would be a good day if it is to be a weeknight.

Well I can’t do Thursdays. Not that you asked. Or cared. Or care that you care.
But, uh, I’ll be in Boston the 6th and 7th of July. That’s a Saturday and Sunday. Just thought I’d share.
