The who in the what now?
Ah, I call it the Ram-Dam song, BBBoo.
Managed to forget my 4pm booster appointment until 4:10pm, thankfully they weren’t busy and I am now Pfizer-boosted. No pain (yet) and feel fine. While I was out picked up some Dairy Queen gift cards for the 12U team (suggested by my asst. coach), so that is done. Now need to get messages out to all three of my teams plus the 7U coaches I’m responsible for, since rain is forecast for the next three days. Will do that once I finish my BLT’s and Pardon the Interruption, one of the few TV shows I try to watch daily.
I’d say dirty rat tubs should take precedence than dirty dishes or clean Govt.’ paperwork, shoe. And glad for your validation; now you need to get to the “Charlie Daniels” level (i.e., “I done told you once you Son-of-a-(female dog), I’m the best that’s ever been”).’’
nellie, May’s not too bad for Vegas…compared to say, July. If you had transportation I’d recommend the Southpoint, about 3 miles from the Strip but real nice and usually inexpensive. Hope the other trips can work out too.
OK, onward into the soccer planning. All y’all take care.
Once again, I am amazed at the compassion and kindness the Mumper community always shows.
One group (my favorites, the platinum a.k.a. high white a.k.a. dominoes) is already enjoying their clean bedding and new Kleenex box.
They had a surprise litter I didn’t know I’d find, so they were def crowded.
OK, let’s try this - a snap of a few adults munching on snacks a few minutes ago:
Very cute ratties, and nice that you found some stealth babies.
Cute ratties shoe!
Ohhhh-kaaaayyyy, now I know how to post pics off my phone.
BRB gonna spam the shit outta the “pet pics” thread.
Adorable ratties. They DO look happy! And yay on the surprise babies!
MetalMouse, thanks for the recommendation. Will definitely keep it in mind. I won’t have transport, but my sibs probably will. I don’t know the exact location of the wedding but am guessing it won’t be near the Strip.
Now I have “High Hopes” running through my head.
Day is done. I made supper - the ribs were good, and I made exactly enough soup. Then we went driving around checking out some massive new neighborhoods being built. Now we’re home doing nothing.
I took Higgs for a walk this afternoon, so that was exercise, and I took my MIL to Wal-Mart, so brownie point there. And I patched a tear on a recliner. So I did some good deeds.
Ready for bed. We shall see what tomorrow brings.
Got up for a minute. Nikki stole my place in my papasan chair.
She’s so little!
Howdy Y’all! We did the things and then had a late N.O,L. of steak and shrimpie fajitas at our favorite Mexican place. I had a corona with lime and OYKW had one of their biiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiig ass margaritas. We left with full tummies and nappage ensued when we got back to da cave. All in all a good day.
shoe FWIW I would also have voted for the snek food ratties. Gotta admit the little critters are kinda cute.
nellie do the things you can and make no apologies for the things you can’t. One cannot be everywhere all the time after all. That bein’ said, I hope you are able to work all the trips out.
sonny you did a thing. Celebrate that.
MOOOOOOM sounds like quite the bzzy day. You do indeed earn a for takin’ MIL to
Wally*World.
Ick about the lady, her dog, and cats!
I’m not pushing around a vacuum (a “rollsuck device” if you’re into Nathan Pyle alien comics) but I am supervising the Roomba, which gets into all sorts of predicaments if allowed to wander freely.
Looove the little rattles, shoe! You made the right choice.
So no blackout today. Although apparently the screwup fairy did set up shop in Package Car #335. I napped. I put up new vertical blind slats(previous ones had been gnawed by former roomie’s 180lbs, lummox of a GSD). I feel all Bob Villa-ed.
“Owners last act was to give cat the finger.”
Mine once locked himself in the bathroom, and started beating his head against the toilet. And yay ratties! : skritches Nikki :
I laughed.
Both cats stared at me with the “WTF” expression.
I … decided against explaining. Don’t wanna give them ideas.
Especially since they both got gooshy pouch-food as an extra speshull treat tonight AND Monkey was gifted with a new silvervine toy - compressed kitty-crack sticks with a feather fluff-ball attached.
Spoiled little furballs can just go ahead and restrain themselves from eating me for a while.
I may have to try this silvervine stuff with the Princess. She’s quite the little niphead.
I know that I shouldn’t get attached, but those are some very cute little ratties.
I tried using my instant pot to make carnitas. I think I have proof of concept, but the meat turned out drier than I expected. I’ll keep working on it.
On the Halloween front, we’re almost done making 'Beamer’s Halloween costume. It’s Beaker from the Muppets. I will post picture. 'Beamette wants to be a toadstool. I’ve got most of it arranged, but she needs to do some work on the hat.
My niece and a friend of hers will coming over on Halloween and joining the festivities.
On the not so fun family news front, my BiL has a kidney stone that will require surgery. They can’t fit him in until the 5th (COVID, maybe?), so until then he’s got a stent and they sent him home. He had leukemia as a child, and has had trouble with various things, like his kidneys, ever since. I hope the delay doesn’t cause more damage.
I’ll be holding him in the light
I was skeptical at first. Kitties let me know that there is, in fact, much to be admired.
Get attached all you want. These are my favorites, and therefore, at the very bottom of the “snake food” list. I will move heaven and earth to get them into “friendly/pet” homes.
The lines I’ve labeled “razor blades with fur/xerox machines” that replicate themselves at alarming rates (while also chewing out of their enclosures, and biting the $#!! out of any human hand that comes near) are the ones that, really, you can skip the sentiment.
Here’s some of those little b@$tards:
They have - no joke - gnawed through aluminum. They can’t chew through steel, but I’ve watched them try.
For hours.
ASF stands for “African soft-furred” and if you can safely poke a finger into them … they’re well named.
Super soft, not quite but almost in the league of chinchillas.
Except for the “we can - and will - chew through metal” thing.
