When we bought this house, we told the previous owners to leave behind stuff they didn’t want. Along with some pretty nice furniture (like a LaZBoy sofa) they left things in the pantry and the fridge. There were many containers of spices and seasonings that were at least 10 years old. There were a number of cans of Coors Light in the fridge that had UseBy dates in 1996 (we bought the place in 2004.) I also hate wasting food, but between the dates on the containers, the dust on the containers, and the general not-quite-cleanliness of the place, I just tossed it all. The only things we ate were the deli meats in the fridge that had recent dates.

Oh yeah, and in the garage fridge, there was a crisper drawer absolutely full of condiment packets from various restaurants - ketchup, soy sauce, duck sauce, taco sauce… you get the idea. All tossed.

I agree. Some years back, we bought a brown car. Except it wasn’t brown - it was Antelope. So, yeah, I think alcohol was probably involved.

Our main living spaces are light gray and slightly less light gray, and the basement is light gray and darker gray. All the bedrooms are light blue, but I wish we’d gone with the grays throughout. Oh well, the blue is nice, too.

Our guest bed was waaaaaaaaay too high, because I ordered the regular height foundation instead of the short one. So the whole shebang sits on the floor. At least I don’t have to worry about crap getting lost under the bed.

I didn’t bake - just couldn’t get motivated. So I ate some peanuts instead. Not the same as chocolate cake, tho. Dammit.

Oh, how I hate how over-scented everything is! Even my eye Dr’s waiting area had some sort of plug-in that was almost overwhelming, and rather unpleasant. ugh. I buy unscented laundry products and personal products. My body wash is lightly scented, but it’s not one that clings after I rinse - at least I don’t think it does. My smeller isn’t as sensitive as it used to be.

We’ve been semi-binging on Ghosts on Paramount+ since we missed it on regular TV. I’m loving it! Silly, but fun! We’ve almost finished season 1. Highly recommended for amusing, mostly mindless entertainment.

And on that note, I think I’ll mosey back to bed and read myself to sleep. I woke earlier than I wanted to today, so I’m looking forward to snoozage tonight.
