Calgary, here I come.

Hey folks. I’ll be travelling to Calgary, Alberta for a conference. I’ll be arriving about 6:30 p.m. on Nov. 3 and leaving at 8:30 a.m. on Nov. 8. The conference sessions are Monday-Wednesday during the day. What is there to do in Calgary at night? Anything I should see? Any good places to eat? Anyone want to get together for dinner?

In that case, you might want to check this thread.

I’m gonna meet dcnewsman! Wooo!

Who else wants to play? Hmmmm?

Well I’m in Calgary too… but I wouldn’t want to intrude on this cozy, romantic, rendez-vous for two:D

The more the merrier. We are shooting for noon on Sunday Nov. 4 at my hotel. (I’ll post the name later since I don’t have it here at home.) By the way, it is still in the upper 70’s here…what will Calgary be like?

mmmiiikkkeee - you sick monkey.

Weather here is typical fall weather. It snowed this morning but now it’s all gone. Bring your parka, dcnewsman. Also bring shorts - you never know what the weather gods will throw at this time of year.

Hey folks, I’ll be staying at the Hyatt Regency 700 Centre St. SE (When will you folks learn to spell words ending in “er” correctly?) Are Ginger and mmmiiikkkeee the only two Dopers in or near Calgary? Anyone else want to join in for a mini-Dopefest (and my first international one) at lunchtime on Sunday, Nov. 4. The plane tickets arrived today so I’ll be there.

I live in Calgary!!

I’m not sure what im doing around that time, but i could probably book off work…
as for the weather:

today it’s bright and sunny day with temperatures in the 17-20 degree (Celcius) range. yesterday i woke up and it was minus 10. so in farenhight that would be about 70 degrees today, and about 12 degrees yesterday when i woke up. New surprises everyday!!

so im interested, book me in. For the time being at least
