Damn, I haven’t drafted fro too long, did I just screw up big time by not taking a RB?
Well… Daunte is an interesting #1, that’s for sure! You’ll find RBs to be extremely scarce when it gets back to you at 2.10 and 3.1. Odds are, you probably could have waited for Culpepper at either of those spots. However, there’s a lot to be said for having players you actively like and root for.
A big dilemma this year is going to be the 1-3 spots of the draft. There’s no clear #1 right now, especially with questions regarding Priest Holmes’ hip injury. Tomlinson and Ricky Williams have been the most consistent #1s I’ve seen, with Tomlinson being the favored.
Personally, I’d be happy with Tomlinson, Williams, Holmes (if healthy), Faulk or Portis as my #1 RB. That gives me a guaranteed choice in the first 5 spots of the draft, making #5 my absolute best choice (quicker pick in Rd. 2).
Of course, that’s the easy part. The hardest part is ranking the second tier of WRs. That’s what is going to separate the men from the boys (or the women from the girls, in NC’s case).

You can sign up for multiple mocks, if you guys want another go. Seems we have a couple pissy non-Dopers in this one. Gannon at 1.06 is even more interesting than Daunte at 1.01. An interesting feature that is very helpful is the “Average Draft Info” link, which allows you to sort the average ranking of each or every position in all previous drafts. It’s a very helpful tool in the later rounds, and to see where your next favorite player might be taken, so you can stay a step ahead of the game.
There’s a way to reserve an entire draft by creating multiple accounts (socks are okay on that system), I’ll see if I can figure it out.
I’m up for it, I’ll keep an eye on this thread.
Man, pissy non-dopers is right. I’m getting ripped for not paying attention. My last league valued QB’s over all, so I went with what I knew. Oh well. It does make the games more interesting when your fantasy team has people playing.

I’m trying. This system is very confusing to me. Has the draft for draft 429 started already? It appears that it has.
I claimed Team 6 but I wasn’t logged into the site. Evidently it worked anyway and I’m using it on a Guest account, which is strange. I feel like I’m not really understanding what’s going on but I seem to have taken a team for the draft, so all’s well that ends well… I think.
Well, I can’t un-claim Team 6 with the guest account to use the account that I have with them, but whatever I guess. I’m Team 6, now called WL. If I’ve done anything wrong please let me know.
