Can anyone name this obscure 1980s TV series?

It may have even been just a single pilot episode. It was pretty cheezy.

All I remember was that the main character was a guy who became super intelligent when he put on some special sunglasses - something like “an IQ of 1000” was how the show described it. It was called something like “accelerated mode” when he put them on. It popped into my head while I was watching “John Doe” on Sci Fi.

Bump…Anyone? It’s driving me nuts trying to remember the name. I believe it was on around the same era as Manimal ( remember that? :smiley: )

Only thing I can think of from that timeframe is Misfits of Science; but Johnny was a genius because of his glasses.
