can someone tell me what went on in this simpons episode?

It’s when Homer is attracted to a co-worker called Mindy, they go to the fuel convention have dinner etc…but what happened at the end? Did he sleep with Mindy and pretend she was Marge or something?

SIMPSONS*

At the very end, Mindy and Homer were in the hotel room together. Homer seemed resigned to his fate – all the signs were that Mindy was the perfect woman for him. Then he became very sad because he was about to cheat on Marge. Mindy told him that it was his choice what to do. In the next scene, Homer has summoned Marge to the hotel and the two of them are fooling around. Don’t know what happened to Mindy.

I think Homer mentions that she went crazy in another episode. Maybe the “Love Day” one.

In a later episode (a clip show about the clan Simpson’s romantic misadventures) Homer commented that she “hit the bottle pretty hard”.

Marge: Well, good.

Is this the one where Homer sings to the tune of “Oh Mandy”,

“Oh Margy,
You came and you brought me a turkey,
On my vacation away from worky.”

Yes, but earlier in the episode, he uses the names “Mindy” and “Andy”

Lisa remarks: "Either you’re obsessed with a woman named ‘Mindy’ or a man named ‘Andy.’ " (something to that effect)

Psycho, yes. But Marge came and she found me a turkey. And that’s easily my favorite Homer line ever.

Lisa: Dad, why are you singing? From the lyrics, it sounds like you are infatuated with a woman named Mindy.

Homer: I got a small role in a Broadway show. It’s not much, but it’s a start.

You left out the best part, Homer’s brain:

Lisa : Dad, why are you singing?
Homer’s Brain: Tell a lie, tell a lie.
Homer: Um, because I have a small role in a broadway musical. It’s not much, but it’s a start.
Homer’s Brain: Bravo. [sarcastic clapping]

Oh, I don’t think that clapping was sarcastic.
