Can we please have a better week in the MMP?

The house is staged. The photographer comes today. Going live tomorrow. :grimacing:

Nothing in my work inbox, except one of the Big Credit Reporting Companies wants to set up a meeting to figure out why their data loading site doesn’t work for some files. (Same issue that’s been going on for two months.) Last Thursday I sent them step-by-step screenshots of what’s happening. I got set up on their SFTP system, and it works. But there’s at least one missing folder because it’s been so long since the company sent us a file. I have to use the other system for that until they get the folder set up. (Fortunately, that file successfully uploaded.)

In other news, Facebook is deadly slow on my 13-inch MacBook Pro (my work (from home) computer). It’s fine on the 15-inch, Wifey’t old HP, and when I go to it from my work (at the office) computer via VPN/Microsoft Remote Desktop. I cleared the FB cookies from the 13-inch computer and logged in again. I’ve just tried it on the 13-inch using Firefox, and it works fine there too, so for some reason it’s now working well on Safari on this computer.

That’s all we cat folks can do, I suppose. Our two girls are litter-mates, been together their entire lives, and they still beat the crap out of each other on an almost daily basis.

BTW, I finally figured out this Flickr thing, so for no other reason that that, here are some pictures of them. Chloe is the Calico tabby and Zoe is the black-and-white.

They both look like they want tummy rubs. Adorable girls.

Yep, absolutely adorable!

Sending skritches from the grassland seas of Nebraska.

FB is working normally on the 13-inch computer and Safari now.

Shhh! If Zuckerberg hears that, he’ll go out of his way to break something. Can’t have FB working smoothly and in ways the users get along with, after all.

Mostly that I’m just really bad at it! I seriously thought every adult knew what they were doing. Ha. Ignorance fought, 'cause I’ve got no clue.

Wheelz, I really want to rub those cats’ bellies. They look so happy.

OK. That’s it. No more Great Clips. I’ve gone there 3 times. First time - good cut - I was happy. Second time, not so much - the stylist only half listened to me. It wasn’t a bad haircut, but it wasn’t what I wanted. This time, I’m pretty sure she heard what she wanted to, and somehow she heard “Hack 3 inches off to start” :open_mouth: Of course, as soon as she did that, there was nothing to be done. The back is way shorter than I wanted, and the front, where all I said was “Cut the bangs above my eyebrows” is too long. So never again. Gonna find a page where I can post a review.

I don’t expect fancy salon results from a cheap, quick-cut place, but is it too much to ask the stylist to listen to what I want??

Next stop was WalMart - sadly, they’re just as $$$ as Food Lion for groceries. But what can ya do? (Our Aldi is closed for a month or so while the store is expanded.) I’ve unpacked and stowed my purchases and I’m having some soup because FCD doesn’t want lunch. When I’m done, I’ll figure out my next step, but my motivation is flagging.

One good thing - we got FCD’s hospital copay bill - naturally, since it was Jan 3, we hadn’t met our deductible, so it was, shall we say, unexpectedly $$$$. And since, technically, he was admitted as day surgery and was only kept overnight as a precaution, Medicare didn’t cover any of it. Dammit. BUT the website where I went to pay allowed me to set up a 12-month, no interest payback plan, which is manageable. So instead of one OMG payment, I have 12 smaller PITA payments. And we’re lucky to have really good insurance! And that’s all I’m going to say about costs of healthcare in the US.

Soup done - I think I want some grapes.

Happy Hump Day!

Cold 44 degrees this morning.
My son got off at the perfect time, I went from picking him up to straight to daycare to drop off the dogs. We had to wait about 5 minutes for them to open.

I got gas on the way back, $68.07.
I said a lot of bad words. The guy next to me heard me and joined in.

I didn’t sleep well last night; I woke up every hour or so again.
Before I went to bed last night, I heard tapping next door. I called my neighbor’s niece to see if they were over there and she said, no. I looked out back and didn’t see anything, so I stayed up a bit longer to see if I heard anything more. Then I heard a bunch of THUMPS! I called her back and said there is definitely something going on over there. Her husband came over to check on the house and found that a ladder had fallen over. I feel bad calling them over nothing, but they were grateful I called and that I keep an eye and ear out for the house.
I had a hard time falling asleep and kept dreaming that somebody was breaking in.

I have a lot to do and I’m too tired to do anything.

So the idjits in 100 sort were heaving the already processed bags from midnight nback onto our belt.
Me: < slides labeled, proceeded bag down SSLAW slide >
Sorting Hag: “STOP THAT WE HAVE TO PROCESS THEM.”
Me: “THEY ARE PROCESSED, JUST PUT THEM ON THE RETURN BELT.”
Sorting Hag: “YOU LIE.”
Micromanaging Sup: “WE HAVE TO DUMP THEM BECAUSE THIS IS LIKE A COMPLETELY DIFFERENT SITUATION.”
Me: “NO, THEY’RE GOOD. THEY JUST ARE BEING SORTED WRONG.”
300 Sort: < heaves all the processed bags onto Yellow, along with the hole day’s bag load >
Yellow Belt: "BOOM SQUEAL BOOM SQUEAL YIP YIP YIP whimperwhimper
Some days I feel like Cassandra.

No, the other one.

Oops.

The back of the fridge can get down to freezing. Probably what happened.

Remember the catalytic converter on my car was stolen at a staff retreat in Tukwila February? (Result: The car was totalled. I bought it back and had it repaired.)

The ‘new girl’ in the office had her Honda Civic stolen in Bellevue last night.

Afternoon all. have been poked and prodded, blood has been drawn and my lungs X-rayed and heart recorded, so far as I know all is well (the Doc was called over to the hospital–about 2/3 mile away–for an emergency, so didn’t have a chance to see him much. Hadn’ eaten since last evening so came home and had soup-n-sammiches. Kinda late for swimmin’ now, so will watch Champions League soccer and might try to get the swimmin’ in this evening.

Now have to call my Edward Jones guy about something. At least the weather is nice.

Be happy you have a fairly small tank; my last fillup was a shade over $92. And good on you for keeping an eye out on neighbor’s property. It helps protect your own (you know that of course).

FCM, Great Clips does OK by me, of course I have so little hair remaining it’s hard for them to mess it up. And glad the pain can be spread out.

Wheelie, nice cats, I’m not a major cat person but they look cute. But…

Last time I tried to give a cat a tummy rub the bite wound lasted 4 days…

OK, food has been inhaled, better do the calling and let things digest.

I’ve succumbed to a little productivity. I cleaned both bathroom floors, then did the terlit and sink in the hall bathroom. I’ll get the other terlit and sink later. I also ran the vacuum over the main living areas, including around our bed. Ziva has been leaving bits of herself all over the place!

Supper will be salads. Till then, I’m going to read some more.

I have to cook shrimp today. It’s been thawing in the fridge since Moonday, it wouldn’t fit in the freezer.
The 13-15 count is going to be pan fried and eaten with cocktail sauce. I haven’t decided what to do with the smaller ones yet. I could stir-fry them with broccoli, I have a bottle of orange-ginger sauce in the fridge. I think that’ll irk.

I should be calling people about the Medicare bullshit.

Just got back from my walk. I went around the park, then down to the beach, then walked down the beach to the main road, then home. 2.51 miles. Unfortunately, I’m off my pace. I try for 3 mph, but only made 2.91 mph today. :frowning:

Wooftrax says I’ve walked almost 17.8 miles over 8 walks since I started using the app.

leaper, like Mooooom and doggio, I think it got cold enough to freeze the can. That used to happen occasionally when I did food service irk.

Congrats on the great review shoe!

Glad you’re feeling a bit better VanGo. Hope that you’re :100: soonest!

wheelie, you have a pair of beautiful cats. Zoe’s markings and coloring remind me of my cat Domino from years ago.

Irked, came home, walked the dog and et. I’ll do a bit of irk in the studio before bedtime. Thank goodness tomorrow is Thursday.

Stay safe and healthy y’all!

Shrimp po’boys and red beans and rice for dinner from our favorite Cajun joint.

Yum. Sadly, not in the diet. :frowning:

(A place overlooking the marina in Blaine has oyster po’boys. And beer.)

That’s so funny. Zoe’s shelter name was in fact Domino. I guess that’s a fairly common moniker for black-and-whites.
