Can we please have a better week in the MMP?

Howdy Y’all! Provisions got procured and stowed. Sloth, nappage, and day drinkin’ were achieved. Sup got cooked and et up. All in all not a bad day. Oh and I worked on the church service schedule.

Wheelie cute kittehs. Too bad they don’t seem to be able to chillax.

Everyone else, I read, but cannot brain right now, so, yays, boos, hugs, chitlins, trouts, noogies, and how you doin’s all around as needed.

I had the last package of Egg Bites this morning. I really like them, but they’re like $2/package and I have to go to Costco to get them. What are Egg Bites, anyway? They look like miniature frittatas to me.

So I sprayed a non-stick muffin tin with Pam, cut up six rashers of bacon and fried them, whipped up seven jumbo eggs with half-and-half (we’re out of cream), salt, and pepper, put the bacon and some shredded cheddar cheese in the muffin tin, filled with the egg mixture, and baked them for 20 minutes at 350ºF.

They turned out good, but tasted ‘lighter’ than the prepackaged ones. I had one, Wifey had one, and I wrapped up the other ten and put them in the freezer.

@Saint_Cad I’m sorry about your dog. I’m glad you were able to be with her at the end. Cancer sucks. :broken_heart:

@Kropotkin Welcome back! The more the merrier. Good luck with the grades. That was never my favorite part of teaching.

Ya know - a little rabbit hole wouldn’t be all that bad for them. The fine art of curating (aka getting rid of stuff) is an important skill for kids to learn. Not that mine have learned it, so take my advice with a HUGE grain of salt.

shoe may I suggest that you start keeping a log of the shenanigans at work? I don’t think you’re in dire straits but it doesn’t hurt to get prepared to smoosh his ridiculous ass.

shady good luck to you and your aunt. The whole disability and support system is terrible.

Awesome!

Now run. Not kidding. GTFO.

Rebo Lola is a very cute little doggo. She reminds me of my Pixel, who was also very Taco Bell.

Have I told you lately that I love you?

They’re so fluffy! And cute!

I am at the horspital with 'Beamette. She’s almost halfway through her treatment. This morning was rough. She was labelled a fall risk and restricted to bed, felt like crap, and ended up crying. This afternoon she’s doing much better. These treatments really help her, but I hate how sick they make her. I just want to fix it and I can’t.

Not much else going on. Take care everyone.

The others are right, Wheelie. You gots a couple of cutie pies.

Swampy, the birdy wars are why I feed them, they are super entertaining at times. When I see the Grosbeak going after a Starling, i am reminded that birds are mini-dinosaurs. If birds could growl Grosbeaks would have a deep and scary one.

Not only are the birdy wars entertaining, GG is fascinated by the birds and spends hours a day in the catio “chasing” them back and forth. Keeping a teenaged cat entertained is well worth the cost of the bird seed.

Today hubs drove me to the dispensary so I could look at the cactus and plants on the way. There is lots of blooming going on. We like to stop at a little diner for lunch and they had a couple of trees in the parking lot that were fabulous, they were loaded with little yellow flowers and you could hear the happy bees from feet away. The folks who live next to the trees must hate them, they were beautiful but messy.

I was going to start putting a little color in my project, but I noticed that the bottle of mead I put in the fridge yesterday was nicely chilled so Imma sip on that and keep working the white as that’s what I know is counted right. As long as I’m starting early, I might sample the new weed I brought home today, I like the way good weed tastes when smoked.

Ugh. Tried on dresses for the bridal shower, and I looked awful in all of them. I’m taking the least awful one and will comfort myself with the knowledge I won’t have to look at me. I’m in the midst of packing but thought I’d pop in to say hi.

I was hoping to see a post from shoe about today’s news and whether she got the manager position. shoe, hope things went well.

Wheelz, those are some very cute critters who look like they’re fond of cuddles and belly rubs. Give them some from me, please.

Moooom, I guess the nice thing about hair is that it grows back. I went to the salon at Wally World one time. The stylist looked horrified as she realized one side was almost 2 inches shorter than the other. I was afraid she’d even it up one side at a time until I looked like Moe Howard, so I paid her and left. I kept my head cocked until I could get it fixed elsewhere.

doggio, if it’s any comfort, you don’t look like Cassandra (either one).

Made chicken and peas with egg noodles with cheese sauce. I’ll make that gain.

Alex likes to torment Gordie. Hopefully the next dog will be as forgiving.

Alex likes to sing at the birds when I have the window open.

I spent $20 on a half tank. At least I’m pushing 27mpg, and my commute is short.

{{{{Sunny and Beamette}}}}

She’s adorable. No Gordie picture?

Shoot. Forgot this:

{{{{{sunny}}}}} and since she doesn’t know me, a hearty :handshake: and salute to Beamette.

Evening all. Did my ‘Goalkeeping 101’ class for a bunch of 8-9 year old girls then went to the gym late and got my 1-hour of swimmin’ in (1,650 yards) with some whirlpool and sauna time. Didn’t feel like fixing anything after 8pm, so let Culver’s feed me tonight. Heading for close to 80F tomorrow and not a raindrop to be seen.

doggio, much thanks for the pics.

Sunny Hugs for you and Beamette. it’s hard while it’s going on, but hopefully it’ll be worth it.

nellie, bet you look great to everyone else; it’s just some folks (me too) don’t like how most things look on us.

OK, it’s nearly 9:30pm here and after the soccer and the swimming, I think it will be an early night tonight. All y’all take care.

Gordie looks like a Very Good Boy.

Gordie has Lab in him, doesn’t he?

Gordie looks like a very wise fellow. That may not be true, but he’s pulling it off.

Thank you all for the pet pics in here. I’m in the beginnings of contemplating getting a new puppy stages. I love seeing them.

Might I suggest a young adult dog who’s past the housebreaking and furry termite stage? Once they’re no longer cute little baby puppies, their adoption odds go way down. A dog who’s a year or two old will have calmed down a lot and presumably learned some etiquette from a prior owner, but would still have plenty of life expectancy.

He is The Best Boy.

He pees on his foot on purpose. “Wise” is a stretch.

He topped out at 60lbs., so Lab/JRT is a possibility.

Y’all are so sweet.

I’m being made manager. (God, that makes me feel like I got “made” by the Mafia or something.) Sorry for the late update, I “celebrated” by covering for someone who wasn’t feeling well and only just got home … and I open tomorrow. Such a glamorous life it is!

I’m only partially kidding. I am tired as hell, but … I’m proud of me!

(doing the Snoopy dance of joy) You did make sure there’s a good raise in this, right? Gotta keep the ratties fed so they can keep the snakes fed.

That’ll do, shoe; That’ll do.

so damn proud of you I could burst

I’m thrilled! SO proud of and happy for you, shoe!

Are you salaried now instead of hourly? Do you get bennies like health insurance? Throwing confetti in your direction! :tada:
