Cannot get Gmail Notifer update from Gmail nor Google

Recently, I downloaded the Gmail Notifier 0.6.3.2 update to my desktop from some other source.It has worked splendidly.

So I decided to download the same update for my notebook- XP Foxfire.

Googled it and got plenty of hits, but nothing from Gmail or Google. I went to Gmail.com and tried searching there, Nada. Did the same for all of Google, with the same result.

Plenty of 3rd parties offer the update. But not gmail, not Google. Would someone tell me why?

Or where I’m screwing up?

Isn’t that an old version? I have v1.0.25.0
