David seemd to me to be pointing out a similarity between Ed and an uninspired troll we had here a couple of weeks ago. If the multi-personality dullard had said that he was left-handed and red-headed, and Ed happened to mention the same thing, David would have brought that up. It just appeared odd to David that two persons identified themselves as being Eastern Rite within weeks, when I cannot recall the last time anyone brought that up.
That being said, my father always was careful that no one thought he was capital-C Catholic. Most real members of Orthodox congregations are also clearer on the differences between the churches. That Ed was sloppy on that was worth noting, but hardly constituted evidence that he was not whom he had claimed to be. David does tend to be a bit hypersensitive about trolls and multiple user personalities.
The point is moot, as Ed seems to have left the building.

David I thank you for your link to that debate as well. As can now be seen, you were in fact incorrect in your statement. The issue now is whether by accident or intention.
Dont be so egocentric David, its okay to admit you are human and thus affected by emotions, ignorance on some issues, and the occasional case of stupidity. Admitting it makes you more of a man in my eyes (screen as it be). I admit I am not perfect nor do I attempt to get others to believe I am, the difference between us.

Your father is Eastern Orthodox? As one myself I ask you this, how do you feel about the association of ones counrty of origin to the church as pertaining to old country politics being brought here? ie (Serbian Orthodox, Russian Orthodox…et al) and US policies thus affecting “church” and its politics?
Do you feel as I do that church should in have no allegiances to any country but that in which they reside? Also that politics dont belong in church?

Captain Ed has his facts straight, and speaks like a gentleman, by comparison.
