Celebrities you find strangely attractive

Martha Stewart was seriously FINE forty years ago and still looks awfully good for a woman her age.

I’m often confused by the women who are portrayed as “homely” in movies and TV. I compare them with women I know and they usually come up pretty favorably.

God forgive me … Cheri Oteri.

Jeremy Brett. In the 1980s, he played Sherlock Holmes in a Granada-made TV series. In my opinion, THE best Sherlock Holmes EVER. I also find him rather handsome.

My crush on Drew Carey defies explanation.

Actually it doesn’t - he’s funny, self-depracating and seems sweet.

Except for that dating strippers thing. But I bet the strippers think he’s sweet too.

You might find this interesting then:

Yeah, that is a little strange.

Reading this thread down, it strikes me that the man-attracted more often find someone Strangely Attractive than the woman-attracted. FWIW…:dubious:

Women I find SA:
Carly Fiorina, CEO, Hewlett-Packard Corp.
Chris Witty, Olympic speedskater/cyclist
Jane Arraf, CNN Baghdad bureau chief
Joy Behar, comedienne/panelist (The View)
Allison Janney, actress (The West Wing)
Jane Kaczmarek, actress (Malcolm in the Middle)
Harriet Sansom Harris, actress (“Bebe” on Frasier)

(BTW, I once saw a TV version of the play The Man Who Came to Dinner where Ms. Sansom Harris actually played the love interest.)

David. Hyde. Pierce.

Oh, definitely Allison Janney.

Sarah Silverman

Especially in the cop uniform from Say It Isn’t So

So how you doin’?

Okay, here’s mine (not counting Bonnie Hunt, Tina Fey, and Beth Littleford):

-Megan Mullally

-Rachael Harris (from The Daily Show and I Love the stuff on VH1)

-Not Sara Rue, who was already mentioned. But the girl who reminds me of her. She was on Drew Carey (the show, that is), playing his girlfriend for a while. She was a redhead, and she was a plumber (?). She also now does the commercials for one of the dollar stores.

-Also, since I’m an old (almost 32) skeez, let me thank your God that Jena Malone is over 18.

Shelly Duvall. No, really. She has an interesting face.

I didn’t read the thread, just CNTL-F’d to see if Duvall was mentioned. In the process I saw that someone mentioned Paige Davis from Trading Spaces. Aye.

And Cathy Rogers from Junkyard Wars. Nice face, nice bod, nice accent.

I’m strangely attracted to Jack Black. And Henry Rollins and Missy Elliott. And Al Franken ??? Who can understand amour?

Fran Drescher just DRIPS sex. I can’t stand her sitcom The Nanny, but I have been known to linger on the reruns just when she’s on screen. Even her horrible nasal accent (which is fake) turns me on coming out of her mouth!

Tina Fey is sexy as hell, no surprise there, but I’m also very attracted to her SNL Weekend Update co-anchor Amy Poehler. She always looks so MISCHIEVIOUS!

Stand-up comedienne Wendy Liebman, who has awesome timing and delivery.

Jessi Klein, super-cute talking head on VH1’s Best Week Ever. Actually, she’s adorable in a Lisa Loeb sort of way (glasses! :p) and sarcastic to boot, so I can’t see my attraction being “strange.”

I also think Allison Janney from The West Wing is very sexy, confident and self-assured and quite attractive.

We used to get a programme here called The Wall Street Journal Report (or something like that), which didn’t interest me much but was fronted by this incredibly assertive older woman type called Consuelo Mack. She signed off each week by saying “Have a good week, and make it a productive one”. I used to get a frisson as she said this, and though I’ve never been into domination, it did get me to thinking about experimenting.

Week after week, I would tune in, after another unproductive stint at the office. By the end of the series I was fuelled to almost Bacchanalian levels of frenzied guilt.

It’s strange to find Henry Rollins attractive? I had no idea. I think he’s ridiculously hot.

Hmm, apparently that didn’t work, since I’ve done both. And I was just watching a trailer for Return of the King and was reminded of my weird fascination with Bernard Hill from that movie (and only from that movie).

I am so in love with John Hannah that it’s not even funny. He’s the hottest hot thing that ever came to hot town. I cry out in despair, “Why isn’t John Hannah on my TV every day?”

The other day, I sat through Four Weddings and Funeral just to see him. I might rent Sliding Doors and the Mummy–two movies I have never seen and have no interest in–just to see him some more. I’m considering buying Pandaemonium even though that movie was so completely awful and inaccurate that it made my eyes bleed (Oh, Wordsworth! What did that do to you?) just because he was supa-hot as Mr. Wordsworth. Totally wrong and just so totally wrong but hot.

I’ve been watching Rebus on BBC America and stupidly didn’t record it, and of course, it’s not on DVD. Man, if anybody could hook me up with a copy, I think I would be their slave.

I think Ellen deGeneres is really good looking, hot even, and funny, too. I really, really wish that I did not know that she is a lesbian. I would never have a chance with a woman like that even if she were straight.

I thought that she went without saying (Amy Poehler), which is why I didn’t mention her.
