Celebrity Apprentice 2011

As a lifelong Cowboy fan, I have never used the term c’boy. As a person who’s been to Valley Ranch, and worked in the facility (short-term), I have never heard the term c’boy.

I missed most of the episode except the end. Did they have video of the quote in question?

Busey certainly made the most out of his appearance, though I don’t think it was all for the best.

Next up? Cat fight! oh and Nene? Being ‘real’ doesn’t make you better than everyone else. Getting along with someone (or working with someone) when you don’t like them is a sign of maturity.

Nope - John Rich was complaining about it the next day, saying that once the cameras were off the night before, Busey called him “boy”. Rich called him on it during the preparation the next day, and Busey apologized, and certainly didn’t question it. Only later in the board room did his story change.

Yeah, that was such an obvious lie that it was painful to watch. Why didn’t he just say “Yes, I called him that, and apologized to him for it,” instead of making up this c’boy nonsense?

I was twisting uncomfortably watching Gary’s antics.
At first, I thought his odd behavior might be explained by his previous head injury.
But later, his crap seemed too calculated for the cameras.
I think he has the ability to control his behavior, and can choose when to misbehave.

I actually clapped when he was fired.
:smack:

Well, Trump couldn’t avoid it any longer. He had to break off his favorite troll, Busey. Why was there even a boardroom?

I still don’t know what Hope brought to the task. She’s an empty suit. Not cooking was idiotic, and its only because Busey was so bad that they won. Her win was no different than Latoya’s.

The women are an unlikeable bunch. Star is the fakest, skating-by-on no effort player I’ve seen. She’s not doing graphics; she’s doing layout. That takes a few minutes to do, tops. Nene was entertaining at first but I now see her true, spiteful colors… And she wants to cry about being typecast as the mean one? Seriously, she expects Latoya to call her after the show? What was she upset about?

Marlee is okay, I guess. But they go mean girl on Latoya way too much.

I think Meat Loaf is going to die on screen. Seriously dude, it’s just a tv show. But to his credit he pulled off a great demo. Lil Jon was disappointing. He acted like a middle schooler throughout the task.

John Rich is doing wonders for his career. On the TWOP boards there’s a pretty strong hate for him for supposed homophobic comments from him (which seem more parochial than hateful to me), but he comes across as a stand up, together guy.

I don’t think any reality show character has gone from being obscure to pretty cool to completely unlikeable quicker than Nene. Her reflections show that she thinks she’s much funnier than she is in reality. I can’t take her eye rolling any more!

This is what happened with her on Real Housewives of Atlanta as well. Hell, Anderson Cooper was crushing on her! Maybe it’s his fault that she became such a diva.

As always, Dalton Ross says it best: “Celebrity Apprentice is, in essence, a comedy.”

I realized something watching last week’s show, the one with the suntan lotion - the teams are not balanced at all.

Look at it before checking the spoiler.
The men’s team, apart from Hatch and Conseco (sp) are/were all bona fide artists who, at SOME point, if not right now, were in total control of their very successful careers as talented, creative professionals. And Conseco was a solid, accomplished athlete with a successful career at one point. The only half-baked nuthinmuch was Hatch.

The women, on the other hand, had a total of two genuine artists: Marlee and Dionne. The rest are all…there’s some term for it… eh, I can’t think of it. But really, what have they accomplished? I don’t know about Star’s legal chops, but her career on TV and as a celbrity has been pretty weak and uninteresting. La Toya requires no review. Nene is the very definition of nuthinmuch, a Playboy centerfold requires no explanation for the nuthinmuch of it all, and neither does Nikki Taylor. About the only one arguable perhaps is Lisa Rinna, but…meh.

Not a very balanced distribution of talent, leadership, and overall impressive skill sets.
John Rich and anyone else who thinks Busey was calculated in his antics is giving him way too much credit. That stuff with the kite and the digestion of the meat was just awkward to watch. I felt embarrassed for him.

I am concerned for Meatloaf. He seems to really suffer from some severe anxiety or something else.

When he was talking about the anniversary meal, I though he was going to go into detail about the coital celebration of the marriage, energized by the protein in the steak.

Loved him in Point Break, but Busey is the perfect example of a person who is functioning at a high level following a brain injury.

What do you mean?

He was shaking and stuttering through the entire follow up with Trump. I think it was either that or go completely ape-shit like he did a couple episodes ago on Busey. He takes it very seiously.

He did look like he needed a shoulder to cry on. Maybe he should join a club, or something.

I’d need a shoulder to cry on too.

If my name was meatloaf. I’d hate to carry that stage name around for 40 years.

Yeah, but the first rule of that club is that you don’t talk about the club.

I disagree somewhat. Latoya is unfairly slighted as the least talented Jackson, but in fact she has been performing since her teens, with her brothers in their Vegas residency and has released a number of albums. It’s pretty tough trying to emerge in the shadow of Michael, Janet, Jermaine, and the Jackson 5. She’s not a complete hack.

Star Jones, annoying as she is, is an accomplished lawyer and author. She brings a strong set of skills to the tasks.

Now on the men’s side, David Cassidy was useless. He may have Bren successful in his career but he didn’t even bank on his nostalgic value. Remember, he couldn’t raise money on the pizza task and was begging his daughter to send him cash.

Is it not funny that Omaha Steaks thought “MEATLOAF” might be a good spokesman for their product?

Not really, he paid attention and learned how to cook a good steak.

I know, I was cracking up.
