Celebrity Apprentice 2011

Maybe he could organize a fundraiser in prison.

Does Canseco have Tourrette Syndrome? I’ve never heard about it, but his tics look a lot like that kid on American Idol, who does have TS.

Jose, I worked with Jim Eisenreich. I knew Jim Eisenreich, Jim Eisenreich was a friend of mine. Jose, you are no Jim Eisenreich.

I was sorry to see her go. Especially how it came down, but she really didn’t defend herself well. I’m gonna miss that rockin body of hers.

You must admit that Lisa started with Star first last week. Remember! Lisa was the only member of the women’s that said in the board room that Star was not an effective PM. She also criticized EVERY decision that Star made. When she and Star had that talk she agreed that she would voice her opinions aloud and not behind backs and she turned right around and criticized the programs that Star designed but told Star that they were good. Also, let’s remember that Lisa failed to deliver the pizza to the fire station and thereby missed the $40k donation!!! If the women had lost last week Lisa and Dionne would have been brought back to the board room.
In case you think that I don’t like Lisa you would be wrong. I wish she had a little more fight in her because if she did Dionne would be gone and not her. Dionne is useless. I know that she is old but none the less, still useless. On top of that she is mean. For no reason so that is called mean spirited. She tanked on the register last week and she did nothing at all this week but argue. The Playboy bunny might not be helping much but at least she is not hindering.

That was the right decision. At that point, there wasn’t anything to be done about terrible programs. Criticizing them to Star would be counterproductive and do nothing but create drama.

False. Star sent them off to deliver a few pizzas for a measly $300, tying up the delivery van for when they actually needed it for something important. Was Lisa supposed to make the traffic in NYC’s theater district just disappear? Was Star incapable of calling a cab?

I’ve never seen anything official, but I’ve watched all the episodes, and I’ve NEVER seen a team split into more than two groups. My guess is that there are two camera/sound crews assigned to each group, and the rules are you can’t go off anywhere without one of those crews.

Okay, minor splitting is allowed. Like when they were running a section of a hotel, people could be in different rooms cleaning/making beds and such. But there’s never been a case of ‘You two go get props, and you three go to the printers, and the rest of us stay here and set up.’

I dunno, though, what if any rules they have on hiring help. Clearly they hire designers/models/actors/singers and other such talent/specialiests. But could they take some of the task’s alloted money and hire a few gophers/assistants?

I’ll miss Lisa too – she had energy and enthusiasm and a non-abrasive personality. I wish when Star refused to approve the cover art for the book and instead insisted that Lisa come back and do it, that Lisa would have thought to tell Star to e-mail her the art. Don’t they all have Smartphones? Then, if Star didn’t know how to do that, we could all point and laugh.

I can’t wait to see Dionne fired, but I’ll bet she quits first.

Dionne Warwick is proving to be the dumbest contestant of all time, even worse than Bussey. Couldn’t operate a cash register on Episode 1, then was totally lost at Camping World on Episode 3. Can’t imagine why she would want to embarass herself like this. My mother is 82 and still has smarts, so she can’t blame her age.

What’s up with Star Jones? Couldn’t keep a job on “The View”, so how could she possibly consider herself better than anyone else? Another moron, loser on Celebrity Apprentice. And Star…you’re also embarassing yourself. You’re far from anything special, so please stop acting like you are. She may have been the PM to win Episode 1, but she made more mistakes than anyone else. Allowing Dionne to run the cash register was a big mistake, then sending 3 people to make deliveries??? Then the moron tries to blame Lisa for not making the deliveries timely?? Although I wasn’t a huge Lisa fan, she did nothing wrong. The mistake was all Star’s. Had she moved Dionne back to the hotel for a nap, she would have never had to close the doors. Then keep 2 of your delivery team in the restaurant, helping with the customers, rather than sitting on their butts in a van, waiting on traffic.

I agree, how is Latoya Jackson a celebrity? What has she ever done? Couldn’t even open the camper door. Stupidity seems to be the name of the game for most of Trump’s “celebrities” this year.

On the other hand, I do see a couple promising celebrities. Meatloaf is standing out already as the best on the show. John Rich, Nikki Taylor, Mark McGrath, Marlee Matlin, and possibly Lil John are all looking very good so far. Richard Hatch, although intelligent, is no team player and has too many enemies so he shouldn’t last long. But, he’s far better than Dionne and Star Jones.

After Trump’s huge mistake, hiring Joan Rivers, I swore I would never watch another “Celebrity Apprentice”. If he continues to protect the “morons”, this will be the last season I watch, for sure. Please do not continue to keep people around, just hoping for better ratings. Fire those who deserve to be fired!!!

Gary is a better teammate than a leader, and I don’t mean that facetiously. I think he actually is a really good teammate. He’s supportive, enthusiastic, positive and willing to do whatever he’s asked when somebody else is leading. He’s maybe a little unpredictable, though. If you send him out to get light bulbs he’s liable to come back with a circus elephant, but generally with a lot of direction, I think he seems like somebody who would have your back and want to try.

As a leader, though, he just didn’t seem to be able to focus all that well, and disn’t seem to be the kind of guy who wanted to break anybody’s balls. He kind of surpised me, actually. I thought he might be too domineering and intense as a leader, perhaps focusing on some vison that made sense to nobody but him, but he ended up being really lackadaisical, like the guy at the office who gets nominally put in charge for a week while the regular office manager is out and ends up just fucking off and playing computer games with the staff all week. A fun, solid coworker, but not management material.

Somebody needs to stand up to Star and Dionne, but I don’t know who on the women’s team will do it. Somebody like Meat Loaf will probably have to do it.

Could Jose Conseco be any more lazy, by the way? I thought I was lazy but I’ve got nothing on Conseco. Did he lift a finger for anything during the whole challenge? Did he even stand up except to throw a baseball around with Gary?

I’m beginning to wonder if the celebrities are allowed to hail cabs. Why in the world did they send Dionne and that other lady to shop at Bed Bath and Home Depot? They could have sent two people to each store. Instead they wind up with no trees or even green carpet.

I felt uncomfortable with the criticism toward Gary Busey. He is a survivor of a bad head injury. I’m not surprised that his short term memory is gone (he forgot the conversation about buying the shrubs). Considering the severity of his injury, the guy is lucky he’s doing this good. I know he signed up for Apprentice and has to take criticism. I just feel for the guy and the charity he’s trying to help. Never the less, he didn’t do a good job leading. He’s lucky his team stepped up.

The men totally blew me away with what they accomplished. There’s a lot of talent on that team. So much talent that slackers like Jose Canseco can sit on his ass. John Rich’s guitar playing and his song made a big difference. The big shot from the RV company seemed pretty impressed. At least until he realized no one knew about the hidden tv.

I hated seeing Niki Taylor go. But, she just didn’t show much leadership or planning. I’m glad she left with class and didn’t throw anyone under the bus.

Wow, Marlee spotted all the classic signs of a secret lip reader and figured out the Gary Busey needed hearing aids. Good for her, to step up and get help.

I feel somewhat the same.I don’t know if it’s all that well known that a lot of Gary Busey’s eccentric behaviors stem from his brain injury, and that he wasn’t like that before his motorcycle accident.

He doesn’t have the cognitive faculties to be a good team leader, but I guess it wouldn’t really be kosher to say that outright. I wonder if there’s a really tactful way it could be said in the board room which wouldn’t denigrate him or disrepsect him.

What are you talking about? He only took one 5 minute break.

He spent the rest of the time saying “I disagree.”

He gets tired easily with all the work he puts into squinting and acting like a psychopath.

Nikki was a class-act - but I really wish she would have waited until bringing two back to the boardroom to bow out. At least put some heat on Dionne, which would have been warranted. I understand why she did it that way, but it’s really a disservice to your own charity and to everyone else’s by allowing Dionne to continue.

I kept waiting and waiting for Mark McGrath to pull out his video of Canseco and Busey playing catch instead of working, but he never got a chance to throw them under the bus… Too bad.

Even before she picked her two, I told Lisa via the TV not to bring Star back with her. She could have said that Star was instramental is getting the story out and the good points outweighed the bad, etc. Instead she should have brought back Dionne and a wallflower and focus on Dionne.

For those who are fascinated by Marlee’s interpreter, Jack Jason: He’s on twitter @655Jack.

Two hours is too long. Trump talks too much, interrupts too much, and doesn’t listen.

And as for the person “fired” this week: She just wanted out of there.

Given her teammates, I can’t really say that I blame her.
