Celebrity Apprentice II

Well, also, being a professional gambler isn’t a particularly reputable profession. It’s kind of sleazy. Of course, Playboy model isn’t all that reputable either, so…

Regis Philbin called Trump on his show. According to Trump himself, he said, “Melissa needs to go.” So if that account is accurate, then it’s not quite the same as saying “Say that I should fire Melissa.”

Frankly, I don’t think that there would have been any need for him to give any such instructions to Cramer anyway. If the viceroys are indeed required to consistently agree with Trump’s decisions, then they are doubtlessly advised to do so before the boardroom scenes are ever taped. After all, it’s not as though Trump hasn’t been doing this for several years now.

Incidentally, some people have been castigating him for passing a note to Cramer without similarly conferring with Ivanka. Personally, I don’t think it’s that big a deal. After all, Ivanka was speaking at the time, and she had already said that firing Brande might be too obvious a decision.

It’d be cool if Jon Stewart has Jim Cramer on and gives him hell about taking orders from Trump to let Melissa Rivers go.

I think people are WAY too quick to conclude that Trump told Cramer that he should vote against Melissa. As I said earlier, if the viceroys are indeed required to vote along with Trump, then they are probably told that before they step in front of the cameras.

Okay, so Cramer had an apparent change of heart after Trump slipped him that note. Let’s not forget that Trump did so right after Melissa interrupted him, though. We even saw Cramer’s eyes bug out when Melissa did that. I don’t think it’s unreasonable to surmise that Cramer may have changed his might right there and then.

It is my understanding that the only person making the decision is Trump himself – there’s no voting. He may (or may not, being Trump) listen to what the sidekicks say, but they don’t have any actual weight in making the decision.

Right. I’m using the word “vote” loosely. I don’t mean to suggest that these “votes” actually affect the outcome except insofar as they might sway the Donald’s decision.

I would be so okay with Donny Jr. washing his hair.

What is up with that @#*±head Annie??? She did not write that jingle alone. It’s all about meeeeeee!!! Joan rivers is so right about her.

I missed it…have to wait for Hulu…

I think that Jesse would have had a chance if he had said, “I’m bringing in my wife and her millionaire producer buddies for the next challenge.” Since he didn’t say it, I don’t think he was planning on doing it.

Clint wrote a better song. The girls wrote a better jingle. I think the commercials were a wash or maybe a slight lead to the girls. I thought Annie deserved to win but she needs to learn a little humility.

Next week should be interesting.

Annie’s smugness and self-satisfaction is getting to be way too much. Her passive-aggressive, fake compliments to Joan in the board room were especially bitchy. I can see why everybody there hates her.

It was kind of cold (if accurate) how they basically told that Playboy chick straight up that they all thought she was a dumb bimbo with no real clue.

Well, they picked the correct finalists … to make the ending as interesting as possible. If either Jessie or Brande had replaced either Joan or Annie it would just not be as compelling an ending. Unless something weird happens, it sure looks like Annie will kick Joan’s ass. Annie is in the mode of Piers and will be ruthless in next week’s task. Should be very entertaining. I have no problems with Annie’s self-congratulations since she has been far and away the best player this season. If anyone wants to wipe that smugness off her face all they have to do is beat her, and that hasn’t happened.

Annie does indeed engage in way too much self-congratulation. Even when she deserves it, it still does not help her project a positive image. (And in the case of the jingle writing, she did get considerable help from an in-studio musician.)

Having said that, I wouldn’t be so quick to dismiss her compliments to the opposition as being fake. I myself make a point of publicly acknowledging the positive contributions of people that I dislike – even strongly dislike. I might even personally praise them now and then. There’s nothing fake about that; after all, personal distaste should not prevent someone from seeing when their opponents have done a good job.

Really? You hate Annie? Yeah, she’s full of herself – but she’s not exactly unique amongst her Celeb Apprentice peers in that. I’m definitely rooting for her over Joan, whose venom is not only way out of proportion, but dangerously toxic.

Next week should be interesting – will Joan and Annie get to pick their teams, or will the returning Apprenti be assigned for maximum dramatic effect?

Anybody else feel that Jesse was suffering from a major case of “I can do it MYSELF”? I think he’s majorly tired of being told about how stellar his wife is. Not that he doesn’t agree, probably, but the implication of the way Trump mentioned it is, ‘You’re a nobody who needs to leech off his wife’s celebrity to succeed.’

Kind of galling thing to live with, isn’t it?

Did you all see the promo for Jesse’s new tv series? “Jess is a dead man”, something like that. :dubious:

I wish someone (Annie?) had told Joan in the boardroom that the reason why no celebrity will lift a pinky to help her with a donation is that she’s spent the last ten years or so making fun of the way they dress at award shows. I do love the talking head scene where Annie said “I know why Joan got fired from the TV Guide channel. She’s a bitch!” It would be awesome if the final task involves fund raising and all the “white trash pokah playahs” show up in droves to help Annie crush Joan, especially if some celebrity poker afficionados like Edward Norton, Matt Damon and Ben Affleck showed up. I also like Annie’s chosen charity much more than Joan’s.

Great to see Annie beat Clint and Joan (I preferred Athena’s jingle and radio spot over KOTU’s too) and I thought it was funny that Jesse kept saying he was saving his big donors and in the end never got to use them. Bad strategy, Mr. Bullock!!!

Go, Annie!

She’s Hilter, alright…

So much drama, so little time!
e Annie’s self-satisfaction really took away any charm that challenge had. To me, humility is a high virtue – almost on par with honesty. At least Clint Black accepted the outcome with dignity.

I don’t know why it’s embraced that conniving, lying assholes (Annie Duke) be rewarded in business. It’s not always this way. Sometimes the scumbags don’t win. Jesse James was quite smart through the whole show as was Brande Roderick. Joan Rivers is an absolute joke of a person. From her egregious plastic surgery to her over-the-top personal slams at people, she’s a ridiculous contestant.

Annie Duke has been nothing but a manipulative, numb bitch through the entire season. And she’s being rewarded for it.

This is my first and last time watching this pile of shit.

Go Annie!
