Central MN Dopefest, part II - URGENT

Roger wilco…

I’ll be seeing y’all next month!!!

Robin

My cute but blond-in-spirit husband volunteered to work OT on the 11th. (the doodyhead). So, HE (and I wish to emphasize HE) will not be coming. I, on the other hand, will still be there with bells on.

Robin

besides imthjckaz, possibly his son PuRpLe PrIdE, sandyr, msrobyn and myself?

NuVo, but he needs to e-mail me towards the end of this week or the beginning of next so we can work something out.

Robin

Hm. That means only 1 or possibly 2 people are spending the night? msrobyn, instead of blowing bucks on a hotel, would you rather spend a night on my quite comfortable sofa bed? That is, if you’re a)willing; b)not allergic to cats; and c)not allergic to cigarette somke?

It woudn’t be an imposition at all and, quite frankly, I need an excuse to clean my apartment

One more week, guys  Y’all still coming?

Are C-note Chris and Rysdad still coming? I haven’t seen or heard either of them post here for a while, and I thought at the first Central MN Dopefest thread they had expressed interest in coming.

Also, if sandyr runs out of room at her place, we can put up several people here also at imthjckaz’s and my place here.

I hope you all still can come, and those who can’t are welcome to call, like Ad Noctum did the night sandyr came over here for dinner.

That was me in that last post.

I looked at the old thread and came up with the following names who said they had thought about coming:[ul][li]Lowellster[]Joey Hemlock, who would be coming from Illinois and could bunk with us or sandyr[]Ivar from Fargoparticlewill[/ul][/li]None of those people have posted lately. It would be a nice surprise if any of them could make it, and like both sandyr and I have said, we have rooms available in our homes if anyone would rather do that instead of a hotel.

My e-mail is l_frenette_vannurden@hotmail.com.
This will be so cool.

Yipeeeeeeeeeeeee!!!

One week and counting! If anyone needs a ride from the Twin Cities, please e-mail me at remayes@yahoo.com. I do plan to spend the night in St. Cloud, so please take that into consideration.

Man, it’s gonna be a long-ass week!

Due to my complete inability to say ‘no’ to anyone, I will be working not one but two full time jobs for the next month or so and thus find myself unable to partake in even a mini road trip. Maybe next time…

I’m still here. I’m just not posting as much or as often.

Quite frankly, I thought this happened some time ago. I don’t know how I screwed that up so bad.

I’m not sure about this weekend. I’m suppose to be selling my sisters car. Yeah, yeah, I know, but her husband, my friggen brother in law, would get screwed over major league trying to sell it himself. He’s kind of a sap when it comes to these things.

Come to think of it, anyone here interested in a 1996 Mercury Sable LE with a rebuilt engine, pwr windows, brakes, steering, etc., ABS, airbag, new tires, brakes, no rust, body in excellent condition? It’s a must see!! This one’s gonna go fast!!!

Hmm. Nothing?

Well, I know where the event is taking place. If you see a light blue station wagon come pulling up to the bar, you’ll know it’s me.

We’ll all set for Saturday…

Reservations have been made at O’Hara’s for 2 p.m. …am looking forward to seeing you all there

WooHoo!!! I am SO looking forward to this!!!

I e-mailed Nuvo today, and we have made arrangements for me to pick him up Saturday morning.

Robin

I envy you guys. I spent a few days in St. Cloud a week ago, and all I saw was the area around the Holiday Inn. But even there, the food was so good! We ate at the Inn (I love their homemade nachos) and at the Granite thingie with all the beer, and at the Timberlodge. Shoot, there was even good food at a little deli nearby called Peckerhead’s or something.

Awesome food and friendly people all over. You’re gonna have a ball.

Hope it snows for ya!

That is so not nice.

You were in St. Cloud and didn’t TELL anyone? :frowning:

That would be the Granite City Brewery, and their food is awesome! I’m going to strongly recommend that place for lunch/brunch Sunday morning.

Pickerman’s, thank you very much - great place for lunch - terrific soups and bread.

Yeah, what Rysdad said!

I don’t know how to do this – Sandyr said the bolded stuff.

**You were in St. Cloud and didn’t TELL anyone? :frowning: **

It was all work-related – no independent transportation, and my time wasn’t my own. :frowning:

…and at the Granite thingie with all the beer…

That would be the Granite City Brewery, and their food is awesome! I’m going to strongly recommend that place for lunch/brunch Sunday morning.

I hope everyone follows your recommendation! I swear – I’ve always been snobby about food, from living in Seattle, but little old St. Cloud, Minnesota could show those Northwesterners a thing or two. If they serve the garlic mashed potatoes at brunch, don’t anyone pass those up.

Relax about the snow – the first storms never amount to much.

I can’t let this pass…

I’ve said it before, I’ll say it again. There are only a few post around here that actually make me laugh out loud. Mostly I smile and chuckle, but sometimes, when I least expect it, I run across a doosy like that.

I strive for the day on this board when I can belt one out like that.

O.P.

I won’t be making it to party. With the storm a comin’ and selling my sister’s damn car, I should stay here and be resposible.

When spring roles around and you want one down in the cities, let me know and I be there for sure. I also know some good places to gather for strong drinks and easy tabs.

Have fun.

Nah, they’re only predicting 6 inches–a mere trifle, not like the 1.5 to 3 feet we’ve seen on Oct 31/Nov 1 in three out of the last ten years.
