I can hardly wait for the report back on this fest – especially what you ate and how much snow you really get.
The St. Cloudians I met were a hardy bunch – no one complained about the winter weather. They all seemed quite proud of having made accommodations to it and adapting their lifestyle around winter activities, like skiing, snowmobiling, ice fishing, etc.
Wish I could have seen more of the town. My nephew recently moved to nearby Sartell (sp?), and the new house he bought would have cost him at least $20,000 more down here, in a much smaller town. (But your taxes are higher?)
I also heard that there are 6,000 more jobs than there are people. !!
And I heard that St. Cloud has some of the same problems as other booming communities – small businesses being crowded out by the chain stores, for one.
But it sounds like a great place to live. Hope your city planners are on their toes.
