Change of seasons in the MMP

Ummm, not sure I want to know the answer to this but do you have lots of unders or no unders?

DH has been sleeping on the couch a lot lately, as much as pain allows. His biggest pain issue right now isn’t the broken leg, it’s other body parts taking more load than usual.

I’ve also realized it’s apparently kennel cough season at Hades Annex. Sup was out sick yesterday (unusual for her) and a teammate was noticeably ill. Now I have an upset stomach and unhappy sinuses. Body temp is also about a degree Fahrenheit lower than my normal.

Not yet. I don’t bend that well anymore and getting on my hands and knees to look is a bit of a project. Will wait for further messages…

A lot…plus I spend some days in clothing-optional status (you probably didn’t want to know that either) so they can last awhile.
Laundry done and drying, back yard watered and a big bowl o’sallit was my means of breaking fast so all is right with the world…outside the recorded calls from ‘Microsoft’ that promise doom, despair and agony on me if I don’t do something right now (and I do something right then–I hang up just as quick as I can).

A couple of people in the office were talking about the Seahawks/Saints game. Now, we’re in Seattle… But New Orleans is my favourite city. I’ll always root for the Saints.

So I pulled my harmonica out of my backpack and played When The Saints Go Marching In. Surprisingly, nobody got mad.

Howdy Y’all! The floor folks got here and got bzzzy! They moved the furniture out or around the master bedroom, yanked out the carpet and the new floor is almost in there. We can sleep there tonight! Put the teevee back in there even! Next they will be in the kitchen. Just two of 'em but do they ever work hard! Impressive.

What color shag carpeting did you get for your bedroom???

Happy Toosday!

It’s a partly cloudy 75 degrees outside.

Been a busy morning. Went to the dog park, came home, irked, went to order running boards for the new truck. I took both pups with me. Echo does not like wearing a harness and does not like riding in the truck.

Red, I’m with you on the S10. I would love to have another one. What I would really love though is another LUV truck.

As far as my son getting his degree and move out? I don’t see that happening anytime soon - the moving out part. It’s more likely I will move out and leave him here.
The way he is I figure 50 years after I am dead, he will still be living here, with everything exactly the same, and he will be sitting at his laptop and having food delivered.
The kid needs to get a life.

I’m not a saint of a mom Shady. Although I do have to remind myself that I am the mother, and the one who pays all the bills. However, I do need my son’s help with the puppy at times. He watches her while I take Ripple to the park, and when I get in the shower. He also had to watch them last night while I was irking, it was very busy and he needed to keep an eye on them. He’s coming around to it. Once she is old enough to go to the park and can be trusted loose in the house while I’m in the shower, he won’t have much to do.

Echo plays rough, poor Ripple had a bloody spot on his head where she bit him, and she also has a tendency to go for his male parts.
I cracked up yesterday though. Ripple uses his hips a lot when he plays, to slam into the other dogs and push them over. Echo jumped off the porch to attack him, he swung his hips and smacked her while she was in mid air. Sent her sprawling. Of course she was right back up and at him. She is a tough little thing.

Ripple gets a little too rough sometimes though. I keep telling him not to teach her all of his tricks, because she is going to be bigger than he is and will kick his behind.

Congrats on new flooring Swampy.
New floor in my kitchen is on the list.

Which reminds me, we have another mouse. I should have gotten a papillon. I hear they are great at catching mice.

Going to try to do some yard irk today, it’s breezy and not too hot.

The neighbor saw me out irking in the yard, he brought over his gas powered weed whacker.
It irks a lot better than my electric one.
Cut down all the wild flowers that never bloomed.

I just went to an educational talk on Medicare. I’m turning 65 soon. I came away depressed, although I tried not to show it in the meeting. With all the different plans, supplements, and things that aren’t covered, seems like I will still have to be scared of getting sick and losing everything. I just wish I could make time stand still.and keep on as I am. Can’t afford to retire, can’t afford to get sick cant afford anything.

okay puppy and truck pics

didnt irk

except the truck pic isn’t irking

whatever I give up

**sari **- how big will Echo get?

Supper was assorted leftovers. Yay for clearing out the fridge!

**FCD **was watching this video and Roxy was yelling back at the sheep! That kid cracks me up!!!

I’m not sure how big she’ll get.
She is bigger than Ripple was at her age, and her father looks big.

Ripple is only 42 pounds, so he is small for a shar pei. I think she may get up to 50.

I found out through the papers that Ripple’s father is her paternal grandfather, so Ripple is her half uncle.

Maybe Roxy will grow up to be a vet?

Sari, sounds like you need to have a firm talk with a certain cat.

Howdy Y’all! We have a master bedroom and three-fourth of a kitchen worth of new floor. Floor guys say they’ll be here by seven-thirty in the a. of m. to finish the kitchen, the livin’ room, the dinin’ room, and the other bedroom. ‘Tis waterproof vinyl floorin’ that looks like wood. I’ll attempt pics when it’s all done and da cave is back together. Booger King made sup.

That’s a cutie!!!
On work am still having a lot of fun. I’m still all screwed up with HR and sort of lost but its a real giggle. And its nice having leadership that actually leads again!

sari, Echo is adorable! (the truck is nice too. :stuck_out_tongue: )

Irked, left out the back way, as the front way was congested. I got behind a school bus dropping high schoolers off about every couple of doors and when we came to an intersection with an accident, wound up being rerouted around the block, still following what, apparently was the school bus’ usual route. :smack: What should have gotten me home around 4:35 put me in about ten to five. Oh, well. The trash is out, the floors swept and mopped and supper et, so all is good.

Holy cow, is RoxStar a big eater!! I give her a cracker-n-cheese sammich thing in the car on the way home. When we got here, she ate an entire banana. Then for supper, she had a plate of chicken and veggies, and she ate it all. After supper, she begged more banana from FCD, then she and I split the last Amish peach of the season. I just put her down to sleep, after downing 8oz of milk. She ate all that within 4 hours!!

So, tapeworm or growth spurt?? What say ye??

Echo is a cutie. Now we need to see a pic of her and her half uncle! hint, hint

swampy, I have to ask - with all this remodeling you’re doing, I trust you’ve got the amazing bottle cap shoe enshrined as it deserves!

Tonight’s food order is chicken and risotto. We shall see what I get.

Mooommm I used to say I was going to make my kids carry weights on their heads, but they just kept growing anyway. I like who they are now, but it would be nice to hang out with their younger selves from time to time. High maintenance but cute as the dickens!
