We are still in real estate hell. The appraiser said a couple of things we expected, The deck needs some boards replaced and there’s a couple of broken windows in the basement, and something we didn’t expect, The house needs to be painted. :eek:
We planned to paint sometime in the next year. There’s no way we can paint it in the next few days, before we take possession.
We are now on plan C and getting depressed.
Howdy Y’all! We went to the [del]hog trough[/del] Golden Corral and pigged out. Now we’s home and chillage ensues. Need a good night’s sleep as when floor guys leave tomorrow I get to start puttin’ da cave back together.

I just booked us a cruise for May 11. Sailing from Cape Liberty, NJ to Bermuda for 7 nights, making 2 different stops in Bermuda, neither of which we’d been to before.
The big pain will be having to drive there - it’s a tad over 4 hours from here and parking is $22/day unless we can figure out something else. But it still looks to be a good cruise, so huzzah!!

metal mouse, that’s one of my favorite musicals. I’ve seen it live a couple of times ( the Shubert, Wagon Wheel Playhouse where I grew up and as a community theater production here in Nashville) as well as viewed the movie a number of times.
sari, Echo, at 8.5 weeks old is within a couple of pounds of Nelson’s adult weight. 
We see a lot of puppies who will become bigger dogs on the small dog side of the dog park and I love to watch them play.

Irked, came home, paid bills, walked Nelson and et. It doesn’t look like Nelson will have to go to daycare this month. :knock wood: EoM is going better than it has for the last few months. Once KP is done, chillage will ensue.

if i were you id say screw that and just have the realter say " it might or might not need a paint job" or list it as a fixer-upper when you sell …ive never heard of "it needs a paint job from an appraiser … its non-essential most people wont expect you to have a paint job when selling (hgtv style house flippers be damned)
Soccer practiced and BLT’s consumed. Got cloudy and there was a few raindrops, but nothing serious.
FCM, sounds like a nice cruise. In a couple of years I want to take a cruise to Spain/Italy in the Med, you and FCD should join me.

Got some young muscle lined up for Sattidy mornin’ to help, as well. Don’t know what sup will be. Either sammiches or some kind of takeout.

heh, I’m not in bed yet cause plans were changed this eve and we ended up doing squat after our 3 times a week outing … the decorating paper isn’t getting here until Friday and that’s holding things up …
id love to go on any cruise …me and mom wss going to try out a small one from la to Ensenada mexico to see if she could handle it but she became really sick…and we never went
Allergies are a tad better this morning. I’ve been rinsing my eyes with eye wash and the little cup that makes me feel like I’m doing a science experiment. Today’s weather forecast is 71 and N.O.S.

I am sure the floor guys hate me just because of the laundry room. They got the quarter surround done in there and have dealt with the PITA of movin’ the beerator both in and out of there. The washer and dryer are comparatively easier so they had little problem there. Note, I do not blame them for hatin’ me, I’d hate me too after dealin’ with that.

FCM, Antarctica is on my list too (figure doing the 7th continent I’ve visited on my 70th year), but it’s really expensive (especially if you want to make landfall there).
swampy, they’ve probably faced worse–at least your house is neat and tidy and was ready for them (I bet they have stories…)
Slept in until 8am and probably won’t do much this afternoon since Thorsday is the back-to-back soccer practices from 5-8pm. Temperature is due to be 91F today and the 10-day forecast shows highs in the 90’s through the 3rd of October (who stole my Fall season and when are they bringing it back!?!?!).

**MetalMouse **- we’re not looking at the landfall cruises - just the ones that drift by and such, and even those are pricey enough when you include airfare to South America from Dulles/BWI. There is one cruise that’s a round trip from Fort Lauderdale, but 77 days is a bit longer than we’d want to be gone. Parking alone would be over $1K!! :eek:
