Change of seasons in the MMP

Well we don’t hate you, we only mildly dislike you. :o
However, iffn you offer them the opportunity to lighten the beerator I’m sure that they will like you much more.
One of my [del]bucket list[/del] dreams is to join the Seven Continent Ultra/Marathon club; however, Antartica is probably over $20,000! Not unless I hit the lottery.
Dealing with idjits, both at irk & home.

I came into the office to irk today. Three and a half hour drive.

So Da Bear goes to church all the time but guess who just got an email from “Jesus Christ”?
<This Guy!>

Unfortunately, I can’t tell you what he said because I deleted it from the Junk folder that it showed up in & then deleted it from the Trash folder as well.

The problem is the underwriter took the appraiser (who apparently doubles as a home inspector) at her word when she said these were 'safety issues and will not finance our mortgage until they’re done. We’ve got a contractor going over to look at the house today and give us a bid. If the seller will accept the delay we can still get this done. :smack:
And don’t get me started on the stupid ideas people get from HGTV ‘flippers’.

Mom, why dontcha go to Greenland? If you’ve seen one big hunk of snow-covered landscape, you’ve seen them all.

Expect it again in three days.

Happy Thorsday!

It’s a cloudy day, was a cool 55 when I went out this morning, now it’s a not so bad 73 except I still have on long pants and a sweat shirt.

Busy morning, went to the dog park, came home and irked, then when out and did some yard irk.
I did a lot of trimming, I was pretty ruthless with the neighbor’s stuff.
The guy on the other side of me came over yesterday with his gas powered weed whacker, he did in 10 minutes what would have taken me probably over an hour. After he was done he said to me, I didn’t know your neighbor has a sidewalk. I said yeah she does, you just can’t see it.
You can now.
All the whacking he did over there made it easier for me to get in there and trim back all the bushes and trees. He says he’ll come over with a chain saw and cut down everything I want cut down.
He’ll have two years worth of wood for the fire pit. Of course he won’t cut down everything I want cut down, it’s not my yard so I won’t take out everything.
The mood I’m in today, I was ready to cut down everything in my yard, except for the dogwood tree, and the giant maple in the back. Only because the giant maple will need people to come in with cherry pickers and heavy duty equipment, and will probably costs thousands of dollars to get rid of it.
I like trees, but that one is very inconvenient, nothing grows under it, it sheds a lot of leaves, and produces a bunch of damn helicopters.

I’m ready for a nap.

Depending on the age of the house, if the paint is peeling you will have to get it painted, since the paint could have lead in it.

Came home and did not feel like cooking, nor could anyone decide what they wanted for supper. So I pulled some sketty sauce out of the freezer, boiled up some small shells, and we had a pasta dinner. Meh, but no one is hungry, so there’s that.

Grocery shopping tomorrow. That’s as far ahead as I can plan.

sari, helicopters are a whole lot easier to deal with than acorns. I love our trees in this complex. They’re mature and not very many obviously planted as landscape. While we have walnut, a Russian olive, and magnolia trees, the dominant ones are oak and white pine (the pine cones are another thing to deal with).

Irked, came home. I think this is going to be the first month for quite a while that Nelson won’t have to go to daycare at EoM. The old bat picked up the pace a bit this month, likely because of the new boss.

Took a much needed nap, now I feel more alive.
Ripple went up to bed with me, Echo stayed downstairs and slept in Ripple’s bed.
My son kept an eye on her.

She hasn’t had anymore accidents since Moonday, so we are doing a lot better there.
Ripple is learning to take turns with treats. He eats a lot faster than she does, so he gets more.

Finally

Howdy Y’all! Floor guys left around three. The livin’ room and bedroom are back together and all the teevees work. YAY! The table is in the breakfast area with chairs. Tomorrow I shall deal with various stuff as I can. Sattidy we get help with a few pieces that need some muscle to move. Hand trucks and a dolly, both of which we own, will help there as well. Then the chaos will be over!

Spidey Jesus prefers text and twitter so that was definitely junk mail.

Godless commie trees. dammit.

I had an uncle who actually had several copies. He played it so often that as one wore out he had back-ups on deck. I believe he got them at some sort of clearance at the 5&10 for like .29 each. I have one myself from him that I keep in his memory. I just really always liked their style.

My work-week is over and shopping tomorrow. And getting ready for KNOEBEL’S PHALL PHUNFEST!!! Is anyone surprised that I started packing earlier this week?

Making it the <rimshot> Second Coming?

What is a helicopter and why don’t I know what it is?

Helicopters

Be happy you don’t have whatever variety of oak my parents had. We learned the first year the pool went in that opening the pool before the trees dropped the ‘flowers’ was a big mistake. Think decaying into mud on the bottom of the pool…

E - A - G - L - E - S win!

Mrs. L.A. stepped in a puddle of cat urine this morning, and had to clean up feces that was outside of the litter box. Fortunately, as angry as she was, she did not lash out at Tonka.

But the new litter is not lasting as long as advertised.

Good Mornin’ Y’all! Up and caffeinatin’. YAWN ‘Tis 76 Amurrkin out and fair (as opposed to unjust?) with a predicted high of 98 and mostly N.O.S. for the day. Today’s agenda includes some [del]church janitor[/del] Junior Warden duties over to the church house, the layin’ in of some provisions since I have not done so and stuff is needed, and gettin’ da cave put back together as much as I can. I shall give the floors a good moppin’ as well. Oh, and need to do some laundry. Sup shall be boxed lasagna (don’t judge!), sallit, and cheesey garlic bread. A bzzzy day ahead for me!

Now I need more caffeine and to feed rumbly tummy. Then, alas, alack, and bother of bothers, I must needs purtify and don appropriate bein’ about the public attire.

Happy Firday Y’all!

What a slug I am - I stayed in bed till after 6!!! But now I’m up and breakfasting. First chore will be grocerying. I may also run the carpet cleaner - the floors have gotten rather nasty of late. And I’m thinking of taking Roxy to a park or the Marine Museum or the library later on. We shall see.

Then there’s lots of potential yard work…

Happy Firday!!
