Chores you Abhor – an MMP about household responsibilities

I am having the hardest time finding the MMP this week, because the “MMP” is in the middle of the title. Buried where it doesn’t jump out at me.

In other news, it’s really fracking cold here!

Home from irk. I finished up stuff and just didn’t want or need to stay any longer.

gotti my big fear is stuff like pajama jeans would show up no matter what cause there’s no end to the depths tacky can go.

I have one very important errand that must be taken care of soon because it is of major importance. Beer run. No greater errand to run there be.

Gnat twisted his ankle jumping from his new bed last night. Was up for two hours with Mr. Lissar comforting him while he cried. Thought he’d need to go to the doctor, Mr. Lissar took the day off work (I haven’t figured out how to carry a 40lb toddler and 20lb baby at the same time) and Gnat has miraculously recovered.

Urgh. why do these things happen at night?
Anyway, we’re kind of fried today but I just made nachos for lunch, so life is good.

tip # 1 (which isn’t always observed) there’s a link to the new one at the end of the old one.
tip # 2 when you first find it, subscribe to it
tip # 3 when looking for it, instead of hunting through thread titles, hit the User CP near the top left of the page. All the threads you’ve subscribed to will be there.
I thought everyone knew about the User CP thing

I used to subscribe to it, and find it through the User CP. But then I would always forget to take it off the subscription list (yes I’m anal that way) and one dau found myself with a couple hundred threads I was subscribed to.

It’s usually just easier to skim down and look, because MMP jumps out in the the thread titles.

:smack:

Mom, if you submit your papers now, they might figure they don’t have to offer you any incentives to go. OTOH, if they do offer you an incentive to go, I’ll bet it won’t take 120 days to do the paperwork on it, so I would get my ducks lined up, but not submit any paper until you know what’s happening. Just my 2.5 cents (adjusted for inflation).

Those pajama jeans look like just the thing for Walmart-Americans. Now if they’d just invent fuzzy slippers that looked like real shoes, I could go into Walmart again without my dark glasses.

Paying bills this morning. Have to keep reminding myself that the bank does not find it amusing when I write “One Hunnert” on my checks. :stuck_out_tongue: Stoopit bank does not read the innerwebz.

I joined up for the 2011 Houston SPCA Mutt Strut and Runway Race. It’s being held at George Bush Intercontinental Airport - on a runway!

It sounds like fun!

If you’d like to sponsor me, check out my sig.

Bumba, I’m not putting any papers in now - I fully intend to wait to see if they offer incentives. Plus I have no intention of going before the summer anyway. But I still need to know what the retirement process is and how it supposedly works.

We have a stray kitteh in the garage. She (?) actually came up to me to be petted and it was pretty clear that she was hungry. I took her some kibble and water, and she pretty much inhaled the food. Then she let me pick her up, and I could see how bony she is. I don’t plan to introduce her into the household, but I’ll probably get enough kibbles to leave a dish outside for her. Or him. Whatever. Poor kitteh - it’s cold out there and it’s supposed to drop into the teens tonight. I’m thinking of putting the cat cube out there - neither of our cats get in it and it might be a warmer place for this kitteh to sleep.

Tomorrow is shoe-shopping day for **FCD **- his Rockports are kinda shabby. But tonight is all about the knitting.

**Rebo **- You’ve got my support!

Congrats on the new kitteh FCM! :stuck_out_tongue:

d&r!

Isn’t this the way Scruffy came to live with you?

Scruffy was carried into the house by the other occupant of the house. The kitteh is in the garage for now. S/he will not come into the house… :stuck_out_tongue:

Mhm, yeah, okay, I believe you…not!

On the other hand you could just foster the kitten until Bbbobio and spouse make their move, then you can tie a bow around it’s neck and give it to them as a housewarming gift. I know that Bbbobio absolutely luuuurves him some neglected kittehs needing nurturing!

Hey, since I killed the MMP I might as well have fun!

Ooooh, bad wiki! I was going to say pretty much the same thing. But hadn’t thought of the Bobbio angle. Genius!

Glad Nat’s doing better, LiLi.

I had no idea cotton was getting expensive, gotti.

If I don’t see it immediately, I do ctrl+f and search for MMP.

Home. Tired. Expecting nephew and brother to arrive in a few.

Off to do…something.

Hugs.

GT

MOOOOOOM it’s like fate dropped BBBobbio’s housewarmin’ present in your lap! Now you don’t have to go to :eek:Wally*World:eek:!

FCM, they’re offering VERA/VSIP in the MEDCOM, but only 29 across the entire command. How dumb.

Then again, 25 grand ain’t a lot of incentive to go anymore.

I’m too young, unfortunately. Got the years; not the age. I’d love to go; especially since now some TEA-TARDS want to freeze federal pay for FIVE years. Yeah, when they freeze theirs, cut their staff, retirements, and all the other perks. Effin’ bastards.

Bah, it’s been a long week. I’m tired and grumpy. Worse, I had to deal with a bunch of egotistical surgeons today and had to explain to them how their workload is tracked and what THEY have to do to fix it. God, that’s an hour and a half I’ll never get back.

Well I have a chore I adhor—seems my useless, waste of O2 brother in law went and OD’ed yesterday, so a trip down the coast and inland is scheduled for tomorrow. My chronicly depressed wife is not amused, but he at least assumed room temp between snowstorms. The ones I feel sorry for is his two daughters.

Aw man, Vorlon. I’m so sorry for you and your family.

Thank you!

I’m sorry Vorlon.

Hugs and chocolate to your wife and nieces, Vorlon

I can certify that there have been strong Easterlies in Seville since yesterday. I’m very glad I have 2 bedrooms and they have different orientations: I had to move from the east-facing to the north-facing one, because the eastern window rattled
