Chores you Abhor – an MMP about household responsibilities

Good Mornin’ Y’all! Up and caffienatin’. ‘Tis Saturday! YAY! Not much on the agenda other than gettin’ stuff ready for lunch after church tomorrow. Invitated four folks for lunch. We’re havin’ bbq! Boston <snerk> butt <snerk>, baked beans, coleslaw and ‘nanner puddin’. The <snerk> butt <snerk> is thawin’ and just needs heatin’ up in the slow cooker. Yes it’s one from when I smoked <snerk> butts <snerk> at the church house in October. The rest of the stuff is easy to do bein’ as the coleslaw just gets all chopped in the Kitchen Aid and the beans are easy to assemble. ‘Nanner puddin’ is also no trouble to make.

{{{Alien}}} so sorry for your loss. Your BIL and family are in my thoughts and prayers.

And now this…

I now return you to your regular Sattidy mornin’ doin’s.

OK, for all of you so concerned about the foundling kitteh, when I let Scruffy out (at 0430, damned dog) the kitteh left the garage. Most of the kibbles had been eaten and the water dish was empty. If said kitteh returns, I will provide more kibbles. Did I mention this same kitteh has been hanging out in our yard the entire time we’ve lived here? This is just the first time in all those years that it’s allowed me (or any of us really) to approach without bolting. Anyway, **BBBobbio **is safe, as is the kitteh. :stuck_out_tongue:

And once Scruffy did her pee and poo thing, I got back into bed for another couple of hours, altho she started barking again a little after 7, so that when I gave up. I didn’t want to sleep in anyway <sob>

**FCD **just got in the shower and as soon as I post this, I’ll take his place. We’re venturing forth to the wilds of Waldorf for breakfast, shoe shopping, and some other shopping. And sometime this weekend, laundry will be done since he has to pack for a trip to Yuma, AZ on Tues. Mostly, tho, I’m anticipating a not-too-busy weekend. We’ll see how that goes.

**Vorlon **- so sorry, especially for your nieces.

**Rebo **- glad to help. Rescued animals and escaping spouses are my two charities of choice. Screw the girl scouts!

Happy Saturday. I’m off to de-stinkify!

Happy Birthday, Spaz

Off today, so I can help a friend move.

Bonus points if any dead bodies are involved!

Coleslaw is made and beans are all readified for bakin’. Go Me! The <snerk> butt <snerk> should be defrosted enough in just a little while to plop down in the slow cooker. Yes, I know I could just stick it in the slow cooker while it’ still frozen but I’d rather it be thawed. So There! :stuck_out_tongue: I have yet to decide whether I want sliced or shredded poke for bbq sammiches. It is a momentous decision which should be weighed carefully. Or, I might just ask OYKW if he wants sliced or shredded and let it be on his haid.

Good morning! It’s a beautiful and chilly day today. I’ll take the dogs out once it gets above 40°. We had a nummy breakfast of cheesy eggs, hash browns and panfried link sausage.

Not too much laundry to do. Since I’ve been going to the gym, I’ve been doing a load of laundry a night to wash my wet towels and stinky sweaty clothes. Yay!
**Happy Birthday, Spaz! **

Off to do sumpin’…

Southern Living, a magazine I have never subscribed to but have been receiving monthly for the past two years has informed me that if I don’t resubscribe NOW the issue I just received in today’s mail MIGHT BE THE LAST ONE I EVER RECEIVE!!!111

Oh the horror! I mean in the past they’ve informed me on an infrequent basis that my subscription will expire soon but never have they seemed so urgent about it as they are today. I may need to take to my bed with a valium and a cool washcloth pressed to my forehead.

Woah! Careful there swampy the wrath of Southern Living will be raining down on you!

Todays list of chores includes but is not limited to folding laundry that was done last night, post office to mail my sisters B’day pressie, pick up dry cleaning, pick up prescription, grocery store, scrub casa de ems from top to bottom. Totally do-able right?

Afternoon, Mumpers! I have been a bad mumper this week, being largely absent and all. I’ve been busy and not really all that enthusiastic about anything, plus I came back from Belgium and the scales told me I’d graduated from heifer status to official beached whale. Next week, I fully expect them to chase me down the street with a harpoon.

To cheer myself up, I bought a Kindle - now I have downloaded the most important book in the universe and you can all sleep easy in your beds knowing that I have constant access to Mrs Beeton’s Book of Household Management. There. Don’t you feel better already?

Hugs, yays, boos, scritches, wet fish and noogies as necessary…

I want, nay, need to read Mrs. Beeton’s Book of Household Management. The title intrigues me so!

I have decided to take my chances with Southern Living. I live with reckless abandon! I shall not subscribe. I will not give in to their pressure tactics! So There Southern Living! :stuck_out_tongue:

Chili is in thaw/nuke mode in the microwave. Shortly hotdawgs shall be grilled. Chili dawgs… nummy!

Good morning everyone!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY SPAZ!!

I have a great many things on my to-do list. We’ll see how many I actually get done.

First and foremost is hauling my fat ass out to the garage and getting on that treadmill.

After that, it’s chores and grocery shopping. Envy me, I know you all do. Just think, you too can have the excitement of cleaning out the closets and dressers, and steamcleaning carpets! Doesn’t that sound like too much excitement to bear?! I can handle it though. I’m tough!

Happy Spaz Day

Happy Birthday, Spaz!!!

Wifey’s new laptop seems to have contracted a nasty virus. She reports that she allowed a Microsquash update to run yesterday morning. I suspect it wasn’t from Microsquash. I’ve been trying to run an anti-virus scan on it since then. If I could find the people responsible for these viruses, they’d never find their bodies.

I just heard that American Idol’s ratings are down! YAY! Wifey is addicted to that show. I’ve heard better singers on street corners. :dubious:

Later

Happy Burfday Spaz!

24 hours to kickoff!!!

we need “like buttons” on the Dope

Back.

Bumba, was it the AV8 scan running? That bastard is evil!!! It attacked FCD’s laptop and has pretty much killed it. We managed to start it in safemode and download Malwarebytes’ Anti-Malware, which successfully de-virused it, but it graduated to multiple BSOD, which took it well beyond my experience level. So my sweetie took it to a local computer doctor today. I’ve been told if you run Foxfire instead of IE, you’re less likely to get such evil… Apparently IE let the damned thing in.

We had breakfast out. **FCD **and I each got shoes - his are brown, mine are white. Daughter tried on a pair of pink and red sequinned stilettos, but we couldn’t convince her to buy them. I think it would be a hoot, right up until she fell off them and broke her leg. And let me tell you, they were truly hideous!!!

Afterwards, we dropped off FCD, then headed to WalMart for a small list of things that somehow filled the car… Then daughter persuaded me we needed to go for pedicures - my first. It was OK, but doggone, it was hard to hear or understand the girls who work there. And apparently I picked mutant polish because it didn’t want to dry and by the time I got home, half of it was stuck to my socks. So I have sorta-green toenails. Daughter has purple. It was an experience.

Once we got home, we found the back door of the garage propped open and a dish of kitteh kibble and water sitting out there. *Someone *let the cat in… :dubious: I cannot be blamed for this one.

After all our purchases were unloaded, daughter and I built a lasagna for dinner tomorrow. It’s a really cheesy one! I need to make a loaf of bread tomorrow to go with it.

Tonight, we’re *finally *having our anniversary dinner at the Japanese Steak House. Yum! And I think I’m going to be brave and try some sushi. Thus will our day end.

Happy Day of the Spaz!!!

I dunno. I didn’t see it. All I know is what Wifey told me. I got Malwarebytes to run, finally, a little while ago, but I turned my back on it and when i looked again it was gone. Don’t know what it did, if anything. It hadn’t been updated in 63 days anyway. Wifey never updated it since I put it on there. Computer is still messing up, but running a little faster now.
She also insists on using IE, and of course she knows better than I do.:rolleyes::rolleyes:

I could go for a pedicure myself right about now. I’ve never had one, but I hear they massage your feet.

Happy B’Day Spaz!

So far been to the post office and mailed stuff, picked up prescription, grocery shopped, picked up the dry cleaning, folded laundry, loaded the dishwasher, put away other dishes, set another load of laundry away, ate lunch and now I am set to start cleaning although I donwanna.

Tonight is date night with mr ems so I also have to get pretty for that.

fcm I love pedicures. I never was and still am not a girly girl but one of my friends took me when I was getting married as she told me I couldn’t wear the pretty shoes with the gnarly feet I had. Hated the first one I had but went to a different place and now I love to go. They give awesome foot massages here!

Right must start dusting at least given the beautiful sunny day we are having is highlighting the inch thick layer on the coffeee table!

Aw, thank y’all.

Let me guess, Packers/Bears? Culinary Boy has gotten over being disappointed at not being able to see Bill Cosby with me tomorrow because the show is at the same time as that particular game. The two 1985 Bears pennants we have hanging in our bedroom display his team preference.

Tonight there will be lasagna!

Oh, and good news on the cousin front: she woke up this week!

Yay for the news Spaz! Nice birthday present is it not?

We had chili/cheese/slaw dawgs for dindin. Homemade of course. NUM! I wouldn’t light any matches near either one of us though.
