Maybe back when the guy was first elected. But I haven’t seen a rant about Trump outside the Pit in a long time. The Trump-related threads I’ve seen tend to either be in GD and bring up something to debate or in Elections and discuss political policy. Occasionally you get a GQ question related to Trump.
Just because people express anger doesn’t mean they are ranting. Just because people include mockery doesn’t mean that’s the only thing in their post.
But such was the case with the OP’s post. It was just a description from the article followed by mockery.

No, it did not have to be closed. Chronos was quite clear about that in post 5 in this thread.
He could have moved it to the pit, but he decided to close it instead. He didn’t have to close it. He chose to do so.
You also have a choice. You can copy and paste and reopen your thread as it was in the pit, or you can reword so it is appropriate for a different forum if you prefer. The choice is yours. The world is your oyster. You are a mere few clicks away from having the thread of your dreams.

No one is preventing you from starting a new thread. Your original, however, was closed for a reason, and continually complaining about it will not get it re-opened. If you do choose to start a new thread, please pay attention to the instructions from Chronos.
