Coffee. Because jail is a real place and you can't get the MMP there.

I get my caffeine from Diet Dew…yummy!:smack:

I’ve been drinking diet sodas so long, I can’t take sugary drinks. But sugary foods don’t seem to bother me too much. Weird, huh?

Mom you are right about it being too early, I would normally sleep in but I had An Important Appointment to keep for a few hours this morning.

After that it got crazier. I hit the road and was heading in Route 50 in Bowie talking on the phone when I saw what looked like a car against the guard rail overheating. I was about to ignore it but something told me I shot go look.

So I went up the road, turned around and came back to it. I found a PT Cruiser that had clearly struck the center guard rail. The ‘steam’ I saw was the wheels still spinning in the shredded tires. A twenty something year old female had a death grip on the steering wheel and was flooring the engine.

I surveyed the situation and concluded she was drunk or high. She didn’t acknowledge me. I decided not to intervene but instead called 911 (though I did get my fire extinguisher, gloves and rescue tool in case the engine blew up).

After about 10 minutes the fire department arrived, shut the car off and extricated the driver. She was able to stand but was disoriented. She was placed in the Ambo and taken to the hospital.

The MSP Trooper took my info in case she gets charged. He believes initially she was under the I fluid something, odd at 2pm on a Monday.

I will post video later when I can.

I can only suggest advocates, lawyers, and news - in any combination. They never make it easy.

I look forward to Moanday’s because I can sleep in & go to irk (the sleeping in part, not the going to irk part). Sat I left the house at 6am & Sun it was 5:15, of course I got up earlier than that. With an average Fri/Sat nites bedtime of about midnight, I did have two cans of Diet Coke to get me thru until I was able to get some unconscious time, around 2pm. Soda is my only caffeination & I don’t do that regularly so to have two you know I was really hurtin’.
As for that nasty, foul, odoriferous dark crap - never.

Partnerless, huh? :o

C’mon, I can’t ignore a setup that easy.

I wrote a long rant, but deleted it.

Let’s just say if you were to have a couple of kids by some deadbeat felons or was dumb enough to get addicted to heroin, you’d have a lot better chance of getting some money from the government.

You’re nice, and decent, and need it for real. The government will fuck you over for as long as it can. I had a friend who almost died because she couldn’t afford the medicine she needed, yet the crack whore across the street from where I used to live got free housing, welfare, and food stamps. Four kids by four different men by the time she was 22, no problem getting money.

I want a self-driving car so I can get some extra sleep on my way to work. And also a way to get boiling water (not that hot water from the coffee maker) at work so I can make myself a decent cup of tea.

I have a tea kettle electric for boiling water. I also have a microwave and a hot plate and a toaster oven and regular toaster and a toaster that makes toast in the shape of a chihuahua. Also a 3 quart pot, a one quart pot and a frying pan. There is nothing I can’t cook at irk.

We went out to eat with houseguest. A good time was had by all and I am stuffded.

Howdy Y’all! Home from men’s night over to the church house. Actually, been home for a while but takin’ care of some stuff I needed to take care of. I know not to end a sentence with a preposition. Get over that fact! :stuck_out_tongue: Anywho, we had a good crowd and a good time was had by all. Our former Priest (retired) even showed up. I really love that man so I was especially glad to see him.

I am still poed that I don’t have my flyin’ car. I was promised a flyin’ car in the twenty-first century and dagnabbit, I want my flyin’ car! Post WWII advertisin’ has lied to me!

Been home but -------- doing a double shift tomorrow and getting things squared away here before enjoying myself. Dinner was very basic - beans and weenies baked. Its nice enough to open the windows so it should be safe. Maybe.

I start out Mondays with coffee, just like every other day.

So they hired you to be a hug consultant?

Hope the kitty’s OK, sari.

Alien, I want a holodeck.

I filed mine back in February and Airman’s got done a few weeks ago. My refund is long gone and Airman owes. (Our situation is somewhat complex, so we file separately.)

I’s zonked. It’s been a long day and tomorrow isn’t going to be any shorter.

I’m easy. I want a machine that folds the mountain of clean clothes.

Survived prom. Sent the Fellow to pinch hit at today’s teacher conference for the kindergartener. Gotta pull myself together for a meeting with the high school guidance counselor tomorrow. Have lost three perfect gardening days to bronchitis. Bleh.

My family knew I was really sick when I went two days without making a pot of coffee. Usually it’s about 3 pots per day.

(((Rose)))

And you’re scaring me. We are in the final throes of settling the Fellow’s worker’s compensation case. He can’t apply for SSDI until this is done. And I’m dreading that battle. The settlement will be enough to pay off debts and keep us in ramen for a bit, but not “woohoo!” money. I guess it’s good that we already have an attorney.

At least I did the taxes early this year. They were simple anyway, even filing for the family and another return for The Boy. But I filed that so I could meet deadlines for FAFSA and various grants and scholarships for The Boy. Even though the kid did most of the work, I was ready to go bomb a federal office by the time I finished my bits. All done now, for this year. And only 3 kids to go! Yay.

I love that it’s light when I leave for work, but not so crazy about the relative positions of the sun and my windshield along several stretches of the commute. One spot in particular at a light is a challenge - I have the visor down and I’m holding my hand to shade all but a tiny section so I can see when I get a green. Fortunately, I come home long before sunset, so I’m not blinded in the afternoon.

Just finished my breakfast sammich and I’ve got 2 more windows to open before I go. BIIIIIIG pile of stuff on my desk waiting for my attention - it’s gonna be a busy day. And I think today is the b-day of a high school friend - I’ll check FB when I’m done here.

Then it’s on into the day. Happy Tuesday!!

Good Mornin’ Y’all! Up, caffeiated, purtified, and brekkied so no YAWN. ‘Tis 49 Amurrkin out and clear with a predicted high of 85 and sunny for the day. I’m goin’ up to the north forty for a good chunk of the day so I’ll be leavin’ to go from da cave shortly. Fun times ahead.

Happy Tuesday Y’all!

My Moandays start the same as every other working day - get up and in the shower, go downstairs and feed the mogs, make lunch for work, make brekkie, scoff brekkie and drink tea then head out to brave the public transport system.

So today is Toosday, and I’ve already done all that…it’s nearly lunchtime so I get to look forward to my tub of green leafy stuff and a few strawberries. Tonight is the first spin class of the week, I dutifully washed all my gym stuff last Friday so I will be all fresh and clean until after the first five minutes.

(((((rosie))))) - I have no idea how the system works over there, but if it’s like ours then they throw money hand over fist to the people who least deserve it and ignore the genuinely needy. I hope you get some kind of resolution soon.

I just want to be able to pay my rent and bills.

I’m up, dressed and leaving shortly. Not fully awake but I think that may change.

My mom had one which did all that plus ironing, but then I went to college.

Mooooom, I have that problem coming out of my complex in the morning certain times of the year. The rest of my morning commute is southwest though, so no problem.

I’m waiting for my retinopathist to get his butt in here for my eye treatment. Then, it’s shopping time until after lunch when I can safely drive east. The dilation should be worn off by then.

Up, caffeinated, and sheveled. Short late work day today.
