Well damn, I got out of bed, turned on the computer and read this. RIP Colibri.
I am so sorry. This is a loss to the birds, to everyone who knew him, and to the boards.
I was worried about his apparent disorientation in the sunrise thread; but he seemed more coherent in later posts in it, and sounded like he was getting medical care.
My condolences to his family and friends, to the rest of the residents of this community, and to the birds who will now forever go unidentified to me, prompting me to say stupid identifiers like “that orange one with the ugly feet and bad attitude.”
Stunning news. His memory will be eternal.
On this thanksgiving day, I am thankful that we had colibri in our lives. I hope that his family takes comfort in his memory.
