This was my first reaction, possibly from denial, or all the other recent (now creepily forshadowing?) threads about Colibri not being around. As a long term lurker, he was one of the Mods I saw frequently that seemed to almost always be a calm voice of reason, and as such (and a person), he will be sorely missed. May we strive to be civil with each other, and continue to fight ignorance.
And of course, all my best wishes and sympathy for family and (non-online) friends who are sharing the shock and pain.

From where I sit on the front step this windy morning, I need only crane my neck to see the hummingbird feeder I refreshed before dawn. A warbler flitted in the closest carrot wood tree while I composed this reply, close enough for me to see a yellow patch.

He has long been my favorite poster here. First Jenny, now him. This place will never be the same. Not a total shock- the “sunrise” post was an indicator things were not quite right with him, but I’d hoped it was medications. Damn. Rest in peace, our friend.
