That was utter bullshit. That line judge needs to go back to working pee wee, but only with a new prescription. The refs weren’t good by any stretch all game, but I can’t believe that wasn’t a free play. And the fact that Gundy won’t play for the win doesn’t help at all. Oh well.
DMC was impressive as hell though, kudos to him for carrying his team. Also, I’m happy Toston had a TD in his final game.
MSU vs TT is a surprisingly good game.

TCU’s #98 defensive end Hughes is really quick. Took a cheap shot at BSU QB though.
Why is FOX gving us a crowd shot between every play? Its getting annoying.
This game has been pretty boring but that fake punt was very cool.

I still can’t help but think that they should have called this the Also-Ran Bowl. What do these two teams have to do to show that they deserve a shot in the future, and how can they do it when the BCS people fix it so the BCS non-conference qualifiers only ever play each other in bowl games? I would have liked to have seen one of these teams take on Florida and the other take on Cincinnati so that they could show their stuff against “big conference” teams.
I’m with you there. I was really pissed off when they announced these 2 teams going to this bowl. But apparently the bowl committee is more concerned with putting asses in seats and people in hotel rooms. Which is a big argument against the BCS system.
On the other hand, I don’t think that either of these teams could point to this game and claim that they deserved a shot at the NCG.
yes, it would have been better for TCU and BSU not to play each other. This game has been sloppy, both QBs were really off in the first half. The last minute has been exciting though.
BSU with the game winning interception. another loss in the bowl pool for me. It is getting laughable now. Maybe I should switch my pick to Iowa tomorrow night.
FTR, I don’t think either of these teams can compete with Bama, Texas or Florida
Very solid tackling, though, on both sides. Not counting special teams, I saw maybe two or three slipped/broken tackles.
Would anyone really feel that Boise State had “proven” anything about competing with the big boys had they beaten Cincinnati? Or if TCU had beaten Georgia Tech? Hell, BSU beat OU just a few years ago and that didn’t solve anything; they’re still searching for respect. I bet there will be a non-BCS conference team in the National Championship Game at some point in the next decade, but there was just no way it was going to be this year, not with the Big 12 and the SEC champs both undefeated.
Yeah, this one stung. I was pretty sure that TCU’s QB would not stink up the stadium for 3 quarters.
As for BSU getting respect, I dunno. It will happen eventually if they keep winning, and that invitation to play anyone in the nation was a gauntlet cast down. But this game was a booby prize.
I do know that neither TCU nor Cincinnati really accomplished much (in a national sense, anyway).
