Clue me in!

Wife stuck around long enough in a hubble last night to win a ticket. (31st)

Now what? They said she should enter a tourney on sunday. Unfortunately she has to work sunday. Plus it says it is a HE/omaha format. She doesn’t like or play omaha. The page says she can use the ticket in a tourney of her choice.

Can someone explain rhe procedures here?

You gain a ticket for any “weekly round 2” event. The only ones that show up when you try to cash it in are the ones for this week. If you wait until next week, the next ones will show up. She should be able to register for either the Saturday (NLHE) or Sunday (rotating, not always HE/Omaha) game.

Or at least that is my experience. I too could not find documentation on this, but I was totally booked last week so I decided to see what would happen if I didn’t cash in my Weekly Round 2 ticket. The following week’s tournaments are still appearing as options. Not sure if there’s a time limit.

I came in from work about 2 minutes before the game was supposed to start, and I figured there probably weren’t 3 more people like me waiting in the wings in the last minute to make it fun. 5 would even be questionable, I don’t enjoy Hi/Lo with less than 5. If i signed up I figured you all would expect me to stay when I wouldn’t be enjoying myself.

From the main lobby, click ''Requests => Tournament Tickets…" this will tell your inventory tickets and provide a list of tournaments that it is good for.

This is the info I received from Pstars support.
If you qualify for the Weekly Round 2 (WR2), your win will result in a “WR2
Freeroll” ticket being issued to your account. You can use these tickets to
enter any future WR2 event. There is no limit on the number of WR2 tickets
you can hold and they do not expire.

To view your collection of tickets (if any), start the PokerStars software,
and from the Lobby screen, select:

“Requests” -> “Tournament Tickets”

We currently offer two Weekly Round 2 events each weekend, on Saturday at
10:00 ET and Sunday at 14:00 ET.

Also note that WR2 tickets cannot be exchanged for any other ticket.
However, they can be transferred to another player.

Please let us know if you have any other questions and thanks for playing at
PokerStars.

MentalGuy - PM sent (hope there’s an opening)

FYI - I’m rusty as hell and have never played online - probably an easy mark

Oh yeah - what the hell does “bottle” mean?

“bottle” ?? I think you might be botting.

Botting: From the verb “To Bot” (robot). In our context, to have a seat, but not play the poker game. You get ante-ed and blind-ed out in about 75 minutes.

PokerStars is once again accepting deposits from me. So, if any of you would like to play some real money games (either in the club or not), I can transfer you money.

You can PM me to get details on how to do it, but I will warn you, this last deposit took over a week and a half between the time I made the deposit and it was cleared to allow me to transfer to other players.

I was assuming Oslo had posted a notice, but there is a pot-limit Omaha/Hold’em tourney (play money) starting in about 5 minutes. (9:05 central time) Late registration (up to 10 minutes) is available.

I set up another mixed game for Saturday night.

I should be able to make my first appearance this Sat. I’ve been waiting for a game, then sure enough once one gets scheduled, I was busy this last Saturday. I should be able to make on this coming weekend though.

Is there any interest in a game on Sat or Sunday afternoon, US Time. There are a couple Euro players that haven’t played, partly because the game starts at the wee hours of the morning on their side of the pond.

I would setup (and play) a game on a weekend afternoon (~3 pm eastern) if there is any interest.

I’ll try to get in. Definitely in for Oslo’s night game. Might be busy in the afternoon, but if not, will play in your game too, Mensa.

I would play if I am home, but this weekend I have to take the youngest son to a birthday party at I think 1:30 pm central. I am not sure what time I will be home.

One problem you may run into though, is that I believe we can only have one play money tourney scheduled at a time. You could cancel Oslo’s, then reschedule it when you are finished, but if you do that make sure you let players know that they would need to sign up again if they have already done so.

I wasn’t going to set it up until Friday to see if there was any interest. Games are better if they start with a “fullish” table, rather than 4 or 5 we have seen lately.

Saturday afternoon is easier for me than Saturday evening…
Sunday would be difficult unless after 330pm (Central)

I added a PLO/PLH tournament for 3:30 pm central time Sunday afternoon. And Yes MG, I could add another play money tournament. (SMILE). My tournament is a little more pricier than Oslo’s. This will cost you 100 Playmoney dollars. {gasp}.

I also registered for OO’s tournament Saturday night.

Looks like 1:30 Friday to me…

You are correct. That tournament has been cancelled and another one created for Sunday afternoon. Malfunctioning keyboard strikes again.
