Come on in, the water's warMMP

{{Sari}}, hope you get to feeling better.

For the rest of all y’all, appropriate smiles, yucks, and hugs are issued as required.

I have been really lazy today. As in “solving the Sudoku puzzles in the paper was the highlight” lazy.

Hopefully I will accomplish something tomorrow. But no promises.

ETA: First on three! I’ll add that to my accomplishments for the day.

There, there Sparkly. It will be over [del]quick/[del] [del]soon[/del]. They will pay you.

'Beamer’s counselor has recommended that my son and another student be kept separated to prevent a fight. (Side note: it sounds like the other student is also on the spectrum, but not diagnosed) The school’s response so far: they got along fine yesterday. :smack:

Worked, got gas in anticipation of the Snowpocalypse. I took Gordie for a long walk, since the temps were almost to freezing. Making spicy honey teriyaki chicken for dinner, with sitr-fried broccoli and Bok Choy.

Nah, one thing Flytrap will never run out of is Exes.

I defy the gods of sleep on a regular basis.

Dunno, he’s still on Facebook, so he’s not being held hostage somewhere.

: joins Spice Weasel on air guitar :

Feel better Wet One and sari.

Sunny: :eek::smack::dubious:

We shall retire to the boudoir to watch teevee until sleepy time. Snugglin’ down under a duvet and blankie sounds like a good idea.

Nitey Nite Y’all!

Ex friends like Dogbutt, surely.
Wait, he never was a friend. :dubious:

Snow hasn’t started yet but the radar shows lots of blue closing in. I’s tahred and methinks I shall attempt some slumber…

Of course not, I would never lend you money.:stuck_out_tongue:

Howzabout we taunt [del]Flytrapeus[/del], [del]FlyingTrapeus[/del], FlyingTrapezeus?

That would be daring, young man.

Pointy stick wielding Sri Lankan spiders

Are you lip strumming again?
Dinner was with good company & I drank dessert first.
Picked up Snowpocolypse provision (was almost outta milk) while I was out. I can now haz cereal, French Toast or Irish Toast. Also got both Peppermint & Cinnamon ice creams. Sampling the Peppermint now, just to make sure it’s okay & thinking about Irish Toast topped w/ Cinnamon IC for brunch tomorrow.

Everybody on the EC buckle down. Looks like it’s about to get nasty. Stay warm and safe!

Bombcyclone they are calling it.

Even the sheriffs deputy I had to call to babysit me on a bridge with a blowout told he’d wait in his patrol car with lights on as ”it’s cold out here”. So my fairly new Cooper 80K mile tires are all getting replaced since three of the four are plugged from storm debris. That was some scary stuff. I was terrified I would get smashed into.

Stay warm Mumpers!

TP and French Toast for everyone. I get to drive hubby’s new van to irk today since my car is out of commission.

Feel better soonest Sari and other sickies.

Good Mornin’ Y’all! Up and caffeinatin’. YAWN ‘Tis 28 Amurrkin out and clear (well dark but TWPTB say it’s clear) with a predicted high of 44 and N.O.S. for the day. All you east coasters batten down and stay safe. That looks like one nasty storm! No real big plans for the day. I need to take care of a few errands in town so I shall. We shall sup upon poke chops, smashed N.O.T., green beans and rolls. I usually bake poke chops or grill ‘em but today I have a gnawin’ and a cravin’ for fried poke chops so I shall indulge.

Now I need more caffeine and rumbly tummy demands sustenance. Then, well, I suppose I will purtify to go about the public. Onward into the day!

Happy Thursday Y’all!

I am back at irk today and already irked by students even though they’re not officially back until next week. Not to mention the academic staff who have suddenly decided they can’t teach when they’re supposed to and now expect me to magic rooms out of thin air. As if that’s not sufficiently irksome, I was looking forward to the 8-week bootcamp at the gym that I’d signed up for, but it was cancelled with less than 2hrs notice yesterday (I am guessing insufficient numbers is the cause).

They have offered me either the alternative bootcamp (Tuesday/Thursday/Saturday) instead, or ten sessions with the personal trainer of my choice. Personally I’d rather have a refund which they say they can’t do. The alterntive days don’t suit me, I had specifically chosen the Monday/Wednesday/Friday combination because that fitted in with my other commitments, and I don’t want a series of PT sessions because I already have a PT at another gym who I’ve been working with for over a year so it would be silly to book sessions with someone else as well. Humbug!

Get well soon, sickies!!

Looks like we’re on the high end of the predicted snowpocalypse. I’m guessing there was 2-3" in our yard, and it’s supposed to keep coming down for 4-5 more hours. The drive into work was interesting - I slipped a few times but slow and steady kept me out of ditches.

However, I now regret not buying a snow brush or ice scraper, dammit. Leaving this afternoon will be interesting. Dammit. Guess I’ll deal with it then. Dammit.

Happy Damn Thursday. Dammit.

I have purtified. Now all I need to do is motivate to go out amongst the public.

MOOOOOOM sorry for all your snow woes but, better thee than me.

I really hope I can get my brain switched back on before skool starts back up, we have an exam the first day.

I’m hoping this because I just walked into town to go pay a cheque I got for Christmas into my bank account (and change a few old style £1 coins for new ones, now the old ones are no longer acceptable). Got there, walked up to the counter, got the envelope out my bag… and it was an envelope from my aunt, which had had garden scheme vouchers in and was now empty, not the one from my parents with a cheque :smack:

Both had my name handwritten on the front, but different handwriting.

Oh well, I needed a walk, I just wasn’t planning on walking back up that hill twice.

**swampy **- quit fibbin - you’re not sorry in the least! :stuck_out_tongue:

We got jolted last night (or this morning) in the Bay Area by a 4.4 earthquake on the Hayward fault, centered around Berkeley/Oakland. I hadn’t felt an earthquake in years, but this one got my attention. Just big enough to feel solidly, but not big enough to do any real damage.

I’m about 50 miles away from the epicenter, but I think folks like Tamerlane would have really felt it, being much closer.

OK, I’ll take snow over an earthquake any day.

Happy Thorsday!

Not really, I still feel horrible, it’s cold outside, and we have to get groceries today.

No snow here. My phone app says it has been snowing since last night. My window says it hasn’t, and I think we are too far west to be affected.

One day this week we have to go get textbooks because school starts Moonday.
We both forgot all about that.

It has been a messed up week.
Both of us have been out of it, the house is a mess, nothing is getting done, the dog is bored and being bad.

I went back to irk today but now I am ready for a nap.

In all honesty, these are the kinds we want. A number of smaller ones will relieve the pressure and prevent a build-up for a really big one. This one was just about the perfect size, if that makes sense.
