Anne Cutler is my sister. Small world, eh? I’d actually kinda wondered when this would happen. Coulter invites so much vitriol, and the names are so close, that it seemed inevitable. I guess it was.
She’s gotten a bit of positive publicity out of it… not sure it’s a net win, but you take what you can get.
I’ll confess the best part was when she made the joke about Pete Davidson being “a biracial goofball who destroyed a once great institution, except he’s not biracial” and Davidson loudly yelled “haha, good one”.
I’ll admit to also being confused as to the “biracial” comment. Is there any particular reason someone would think Davidson was biracial?
Oh. I’ll confess I don’t really see it, but I can see how some people might. FWIW, if I had no idea who he was and he claimed he was I wouldn’t have been surprised.
I only was able to catch a bit of it, but the dude dressed as Prince made a great crack at Coulter when he said, “So Ann, you’re against gay marriage. Is that because since you haven’t been able to find a husband… NO ONE ELSE CAN?!”
I don’t think that is quite true. I love to watch those old Dean Martin Roasts on YouTube and many times the roaster would go down the line and pick apart the others. Rickles did this all the time. He’d see Milton Berle, Jack Benny or George Burns and inevitably crack on their age. If Nipsy Russell was there he’d throw in a black joke. Orsen Wells would get hit with a fat joke. On and on it went.
Well, she’s been doing a #NotAnnCoulter hashtag thing. I don’t think the people making the error ever get so far as reading the profile, since the first line is “New Orleans television personality”… and Ann Coulter isn’t that. Not to mention that the only thing they have in common appearance-wise is being blonde and female.
She was awful. She did have a few semi-funny jokes, but she read them. She didn’t DELIVER them. Watching, I thought that if ANYONE ELSE on the panel had delivered those few half-decent jokes, they would have gotten some laughs. It wasn’t just that she’s pure evil incarnate, but she’s just not fucking funny.
I cannot STAND George W’s policies, but he seems like he’d be personable and charming in-person. He might not bring the house down, but at least he has a sense of humor and presence. Trump too. So for me, it’s not just what she represents and believes, but that she was really, really awful at performing.
I’d never ever like her, but if she had laughed at herself and got to the mic and killed it I’d give her begrudging respect.
I think she’s authentic in her cray because if it was an act, she’d act BETTER and not bomb on an otherwise hilarious hour of tv. I usually don’t like roasts but I do like Lowe and I kept reading how good it was. I’m glad I watched.
